Care and cleaning

A Surface Doctor resurfaced bath is guaranteed against peeling or adhesive failure for five years. Click here for How long will the surface last? (Putting this in context, manufacturers of new baths generally only give a one year warranty on their product!) Our surfaces should provide many years of service when given the same care and maintenance recommended by manufacturers of bathroom and kitchen fixtures.

Once the technician has sprayed the new surface, do not touch or apply water to it for twenty four hours to allow it to cure fully.

After use, Rinse thoroughly and use a soft sponge to wipe down the surface. We recommend the use of mild detergents such as washing up liquid. Keep the surface dry, when the bath is not in use. This will also prevent the build up of mineral deposits caused by hard water.

Do not use any liquid or powder cleaning agents that contain abrasives, bleach or strong acids.

Do not allow any cleaners to remain on the surface for extended periods without rinsing.

Do not use steel wool, brushes or abrasive sponge pads.
