Need bath re-enamelling in Blyth Bridge?

When we would advise against a repair

We would rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • Holes rusted through the metal
  • Damage hidden under a previous coating, until it’s stripped back
  • A bath split right through the body

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before booking.

What we work on

  • Cast iron baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Acrylic baths

How we handle bath re-enamelling in Blyth Bridge

Re-enamelling works especially well on cast iron and steel, and acrylic baths can be resurfaced too. You end up with a smooth, glossy surface. Whether it’s lots of chips and rust spots and enamel that’s lost its shine and feels rough, we can help, on acrylic baths, Victorian roll-tops and cast iron baths alike.

We stand behind the work with a one-year guarantee, so you are covered after the visit.

How quickly can you book me in?

That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.

Do you charge for travel?

There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.

Someone resurfaced my bath and it’s peeling. Can you help?

Generally, yes. The old coating comes off before we resurface it. Mention it when you send photos.

What affects the price in Blyth Bridge

Resurfacing from £350. There is no area surcharge for Blyth Bridge. The price reflects:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What the surface is made of
  • How easy the damage is to reach

What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Quotes from your photos

Two or three clear photos are typically enough. Try to include:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them to us with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. There is no charge for the quote and you are under no obligation.

Aftercare tips

Nothing complicated is needed, just a few sensible habits:

  • Do not let dyes or oils sit on the finish
  • Get any chip repaired quickly
  • Wipe the bath dry after use in hard water areas
  • Fix dripping taps quickly

Dry the bath after use if possible, and rinse off any bath products.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading and make the job bigger. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Blyth Bridge

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

Should you replace it?

Replacement only makes sense in a few cases: a cracked-through bath, a change of size or shape, or a full refit. In most other cases, resurfacing is the better choice. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Why us?

  • Colour-matched on site
  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • No need to remove anything
  • We leave the room as we found it

What we do, step by step

You do not need to empty the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. It usually takes the best part of a day, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We sheet, mask and ventilate the room.
  2. We remove the old silicone and deep clean the bath.
  3. We repair chips, rust spots and pitting.
  4. We key the bath and apply a bonding primer.
  5. Several coats of finish are sprayed on, then it cures until the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
