Repairs at your home in Manchester
We travel to homes and businesses across Manchester to repair and resurface baths, shower trays, sinks, worktops and other hard surfaces. Everything is done in place, so there’s no need to remove the bath or disturb your tiles. Our technicians bring everything with them, mix the colour on the day and leave the room clean and tidy.
We work for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, housing providers, builders and hotels in Manchester and the surrounding area. Most jobs are booked from photos, so you know the price before anyone visits.
Rentals and student lets
Manchester has a large rental market, including student lets, and baths and trays take a lot of wear between tenancies. A repair or resurface is usually done in a day, keeping void periods short; see our guide for landlords.
Water and your bath in Manchester
Manchester’s water comes mostly from the Lake District reservoirs, so it is soft, so limescale is less of a problem than in the south and east of England. Soap scum and mould in sealant are more common: rinse the bath after use, keep the room ventilated and avoid abrasive pads, bleach and strong solvent cleaners on enamel, acrylic and resurfaced finishes. A soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all a repaired or re-enamelled bath needs. Read caring for a re-enamelled bath for more.

Repair, re-enamel or replace?
If the bath is sound and the damage is a chip, crack, rust spot or small hole, a repair is the quickest and cheapest fix. If the whole surface is worn, stained or dull, or you want to change a coloured bath to white, re-enamelling gives it a new finish without a refit. Replacement usually only makes sense if the bath is badly cracked through, leaking from the body or you want a different shape or size, because taking a bath out normally means lifting tiles, reworking pipes and redecorating.
