Repairs at your home in Edinburgh
We travel to homes and businesses across Edinburgh to repair and resurface baths, shower trays, sinks, worktops and other hard surfaces. Everything is done in place, so there’s no need to remove the bath or disturb your tiles. Our technicians bring everything with them, mix the colour on the day and leave the room clean and tidy.
We work for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, housing providers, builders and hotels in Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Most jobs are booked from photos, so you know the price before anyone visits.
Period and listed homes
Edinburgh has a large stock of tenements, Georgian and Victorian homes, many with original cast iron baths and period basins worth keeping. We restore them in place, and repair around makers’ marks on antique basins where we can; read about restoring a roll-top bath.
Water and your bath in Edinburgh
Edinburgh is supplied with soft water from reservoirs in the Pentland and Moorfoot hills, so limescale is less of a problem than in the south and east of England. Soap scum and mould in sealant are more common: rinse the bath after use, keep the room ventilated and avoid abrasive pads, bleach and strong solvent cleaners on enamel, acrylic and resurfaced finishes. A soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all a repaired or re-enamelled bath needs. Read caring for a re-enamelled bath for more.

Repair, re-enamel or replace?
If the bath is sound and the damage is a chip, crack, rust spot or small hole, a repair is the quickest and cheapest fix. If the whole surface is worn, stained or dull, or you want to change a coloured bath to white, re-enamelling gives it a new finish without a refit. Replacement usually only makes sense if the bath is badly cracked through, leaking from the body or you want a different shape or size, because taking a bath out normally means lifting tiles, reworking pipes and redecorating.

Questions from Edinburgh customers
Do you cover Leith and the outskirts?
Yes. We cover all of Edinburgh and the Lothians.
Can you restore a period basin and keep the maker’s mark?
Where we can, we repair around the mark rather than covering it. Tell us about it when you ask for a quote.
How much does a bath repair cost in Edinburgh?
Repairs start from £95 and bath re-enamelling or resurfacing from £350. Send us photos for a fixed price; several repairs on one visit are quoted together.
How long does a repair take?
A single chip or crack usually takes one to two hours. Re-enamelling a bath usually takes most of a day, and the bath can normally be used the next day.
Do I need to empty the bathroom?
No. Just clear bottles and toiletries from around the bath or item. We protect the floor, tiles and fittings with dust sheets and masking.
Can you match my colour?
Yes. We mix the colour on site to match your bath, tray, sink or worktop, including older coloured suites.
How do I get a quote?
Send us photos of the damage and the whole item with your postcode, or call 0345 017 0787. We’ll reply with a fixed price.
