FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Quick answers about our repairs, guarantee and coverage.

Which areas do you cover?

The whole UK. We’re based in London and our technicians travel to you, so there’s no workshop to visit. Find your town on our areas page.

How do I get a quote?

Send us a photo of the damage and one of the whole item using our quote form, or call 0345 017 0787. We’ll reply with a fixed price.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes. Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee.

Do you need to remove the bath, sink or tray?

No. We repair and resurface everything in place, so your taps, tiles and plumbing stay where they are.

How long until I can use my bath again?

Most repairs and resurfacing jobs can be used the next day. We’ll confirm the curing time when we finish.

Will the repair match?

We mix the colour on the day to match your bath, basin, tray or surface, then blend the repair in.

What can’t be repaired?

Cracks that leak in toilets, laminate swollen by water, and cracked trays that flex underfoot need replacing or fixing underneath first. We’ll tell you honestly before we start.

Is there a smell when you re-enamel a bath?

Yes, while we spray. We ventilate the room and use extraction, and the smell fades as the finish cures.

Do you work for landlords, builders and businesses?

Yes. We work for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders, developers, hotels and facilities teams. We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Can you repair a DIY repair that has failed?

Usually. We remove the old filler, treat any rust and repair the area properly.

Will I be able to see the repair?

We colour-match every repair on the day and blend it into the surrounding surface. On a bath in good condition, most people can’t find the repair afterwards. On worn or dull enamel a repair can show, and we’ll tell you that before we start.

How long before I can use the bath?

Usually the next day. We’ll confirm the exact curing time when we finish.

Do you need to take the bath out?

No. We resurface the bath where it is, so the taps, tiles and plumbing stay in place.

How long does re-enamelling take?

Usually one working day, with the bath ready to use the following day. Heavily pitted baths may need a second day.

Can a cracked shower tray be repaired?

Often, yes, if the tray is properly supported and we can reach the damage. If it flexes when you stand on it, the support needs fixing first or the crack can come back.

Can you resurface a stone resin tray?

Yes. We resurface stone resin, acrylic, ceramic and enamelled steel trays.

Can a cracked basin be repaired?

Many cracks can be repaired, especially on the rim or front edge. If a crack goes right through and the basin leaks, replacement may be safer. Send us a photo and we’ll advise.

Will the repair match my basin?

We mix the colour on the day to match your basin’s shade of white or colour, then polish the repair to blend it in.

Can you repair a burn on a laminate worktop?

Yes. We remove the damaged surface, fill and then colour and pattern-match the area. Deep burns that have gone through to swollen chipboard may need a section replacing.

Can quartz or granite chips be repaired?

Yes. Chips on edges and around sinks are common, and we fill and polish them to match.

Can you seal over the old mastic?

No. New sealant won’t bond properly to old silicone, and mould underneath keeps growing. We remove the old sealant completely first.

Why does my sealant keep going black?

Mould grows where the joint stays damp. Good ventilation and wiping the joint dry help. Read our guide to mould in sealant.
