Need bath re-enamelling in Crowland?

What your bath is made of matters

Roll-top and period baths

Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.

Acrylic

We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot.

Bath re-enamelling at your home in Crowland

We do not move the bath, so the taps, tiles and plumbing aren’t touched. It usually takes one visit, with the bath ready to use the following day. Whether it’s a roll-top that’s seen better days and a coloured bath you want in white, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.

All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Crowland and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually, from your pictures. The main factors are:

  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How hard the colour is to match

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

Quotes from your pictures

Before you send pictures, these tips help us give you a firm price:

  • A wider photo showing the whole bath
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • The material, if you know it

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

How it works

We agree an arrival time beforehand. On site, it takes the best part of a day for most jobs. We leave the room clean and you will know when it can be used.

  1. First we look the bath over and confirm the finish.
  2. Everything around the bath is masked and covered.
  3. We degrease the bath, fix any damage and key the surface.
  4. We apply the primer and then the finish coats.
  5. We remove the masking, tidy up and give you the curing time.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let us know about parking or access

Advice

Repair or replace in Crowland?

When the bathroom is fine apart from the bath’s finish, resurfacing is the simplest answer. Tiles, panels and taps stay put. Our bath re-enamelling starts from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Crowland. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why book with us

  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Same prices wherever you are
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

Take a look at our pricing and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What we cannot put right

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • Leaks from fittings rather than the bath
  • An acrylic bath that flexes badly underfoot
  • Steel that has corroded right through

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

What we work on

  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Cast iron baths
  • Pressed steel baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Acrylic baths

How to look after the repair

How the surface is treated afterwards matters:

  • Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
  • Do not leave bottles, razors or sponges standing on the surface
  • Have chips seen to early
  • Wash away dyes and oils after use

Use mild, non-abrasive cleaners, avoid suction bath mats, and keep bottles and razors off the surface.

If a previous coating is starting to peel, don’t pick at it. Moisture gets underneath and makes it worse, so it’s better to have it stripped and redone.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

Questions from Crowland

How soon can you come?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Is the work guaranteed?

Yes: twelve months. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

What happens after I send pictures?

We review the photos and send a fixed quote.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.

What information do you need?

Send photos through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

What does bath re-enamelling cost?

Prices start from £350. Because every job differs, we price from photos. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

How long does re-enamelling last?

A well-prepared finish lasts a long time if it’s looked after. Gentle cleaning, no suction mats.

Is there a smell?

Some odour is normal while we spray, which is why we ventilate the bathroom. It fades as the coating cures.
