Bath re-enamelling near Cubley

Bath re-enamelling in Cubley without replacing anything

We resurface cast iron, steel and acrylic baths, including roll-tops and period baths. Several coats of finish go on over a bonding primer, after the bath has been cleaned, repaired and keyed. We are frequently asked to fix brown or grey marks that don’t clean off and several chips and rust patches, across basins & shower trays, pressed steel baths and acrylic baths.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee.

What a repair can’t fix

Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair won’t do:

  • A poorly supported acrylic bath, until it’s firmed up
  • A bath split right through the body
  • Steel that has corroded right through

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we work on in Cubley

  • Pressed steel baths
  • Basins & shower trays
  • Victorian roll-tops
  • Cast iron baths
  • Acrylic baths

What your bath is made of matters

Acrylic

We resurface acrylic baths as well, with a coating system suited to acrylic. It must be solid and not flex underfoot for the finish to last.

Roll-top and period baths

Freestanding roll-tops can be done inside and out, with the outside refinished as well.

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we take into account:

  • The material
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The size and number of damaged areas

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Send photos for a quote

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • One picture of the whole bath
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

If you’re in Cubley and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Builders, developers and site managers book us for snagging repairs, putting right damage done during fitting so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

Looking after it afterwards

Aftercare is simple:

  • Fix dripping taps quickly
  • Dry the bath after use to stop limescale
  • Clean with a soft cloth and mild detergent
  • Leave the bath for the full curing time before using it

Give the finish its full curing time before using the bath. After that, a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs.

On a worn bath, rust spots keep spreading. It’s simpler to resurface before they spread.

Cubley: your questions answered

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

How soon can you come?

That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Normally, yes. The old repair comes out first, so let us know about it.

How much does bath re-enamelling cost in Cubley?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed price based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up and a photo of the entire item and your postcode.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Do you charge for travel?

We don’t add a call-out fee. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK, and that includes Cubley. Prices don’t change with location.

Can you change the colour of my bath?

Yes, most people go for white. Tell us what you’d like when you ask for a quote.

Repair or replace: which is better?

If the bath is sound, re-enamelling is typically much cheaper than replacing it, once you add removal, plumbing, tiling and decorating to the price of a new bath. It’s also far quicker. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Why us?

  • No need to remove anything
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

How the visit works

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take the best part of a day. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We check the bath and agree the finish with you.
  2. Taps, tiles and the floor are masked off.
  3. The bath is degreased, repaired and keyed.
  4. Primer and finish coats are applied.
  5. The masking comes off, we tidy up and tell you when it can be used.

Preparing for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
