Trusted bath repair in Boxgrove

For landlords and businesses

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

How we handle bath repair in Boxgrove

Bath repair is our most common job. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all fixed without removing the bath, usually in a single visit. Our repair technicians work on roll-top & freestanding, whirlpool & spa baths and acrylic, and common reasons people contact us are chips on the rim or sides and a kit repair that didn’t last.

Peace of mind is built in: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before you book.

How it works

Expect a friendly, tidy visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, cover and mask the work area, and get on with the job, which typically takes a morning or an afternoon. If we find something your photos didn’t show, we will explain it before carrying on.

  1. We protect the bath and the floor around it.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.

Preparing for the visit

Why repair rather than replace?

A repair makes sense whenever the damage is localised. It’s a fraction of the cost of a new bath and fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why book with us

  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Most jobs done in one visit

Repairs by material

Composite and resin

Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, in much the same way.

Acrylic

An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.

What we can’t put right

Not everything can be repaired, and we’d rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:

  • Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
  • Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think before you book.

Keeping it looking good

Looking after the surface is easy, and it makes a real difference:

  • Make sure an acrylic bath is firm underfoot
  • Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
  • Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
  • Keep metal cans and razors off the surface

Treat the repaired area like the rest of the bath: warm water, washing-up liquid and a soft cloth. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.

Avoid standing in a cracked acrylic bath until it’s fixed. Each time it flexes, the crack grows, and water can get through to the floor below.

How we price bath repair

Repairs from £95. You won’t pay by the hour. The price is based on:

  • How much damage there is
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What the surface is made of
  • The type of damage

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Send photos for a quote

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • A chip where the taps sit
  • Chips along the edge of the bath
  • A hole punched through by something heavy
  • A cracked acrylic bath
