Bath repair in Dean Court, done in place

We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. Typical jobs include a cracked acrylic bath and damage beneath the taps, on whirlpool & spa baths, pressed steel enamel and acrylic.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Work for landlords and builders

If you manage property in Dean Court, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Send photos for each one and we will come back with a combined price.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there’s no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip.

Repair or replace: which is better?

A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim normally crack when it comes out, a new panel is frequently needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

What we cannot put right

Before booking, it’s worth knowing the limits too:

  • Cracks in acrylic we can’t reach from underneath
  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

When to call us in Dean Court

Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips, closely followed by shower heads. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Rusty patches near the plughole
  • A chipped rim or side
  • Impact holes in acrylic
  • A kit repair that didn’t last

Comparing quotes

  • Whether the price covers travel
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included

Our hiring checklist

What affects the price in Dean Court

Prices start from £95. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • The material

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Dean Court. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Send photos for a quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A wider photo showing the whole bath

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

What we do, step by step

Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you know when to expect us. On site, it takes a few hours, depending on the damage. We leave the room clean and you’ll know when it can be used.

  1. We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
  2. The chip or crack is filled, then sanded level with the bath.
  3. We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
  4. We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
  5. The repair is left to cure, and most baths can be used the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible

Getting a price

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

DIY kit or professional repair?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

Dean Court questions

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Yes, we often do. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.

Can you repair a crack in an acrylic bath?

Generally, yes, as long as we can get to the back of the crack to support it. Check under the bath panel, or send us a picture.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children.

Will the repair show?

On a glossy bath, you’ll struggle to find it. On worn enamel, it can look shinier than the rest.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit normally costs less than separate visits. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.

What information do you need?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we will take it from there.

Is a bath repair permanent?

Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It carries our one-year guarantee.

What your bath is made of matters

Cast iron

A cast iron bath is heavy enough that most people never want to move it. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that is what we repair.

Pressed steel

Steel baths and trays have a thin metal body under the enamel. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
