About our bath repair in East Worthing
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which is far cheaper than replacing a fitted bath. Most baths can be used again the following day. If you are dealing with chips caused by builders and damage beneath the taps, we can help.
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee.

How it works
Visits start with a quick look at the job together. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. You can expect it to take two to three hours for most chips, and we will keep you posted as we go.
- First, we check the damage against your photos and agree the plan.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
How to prepare
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
- Ensure the area is dry

What we cannot put right
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. We can’t fix:
- A bath that flexes because its feet or cradle have failed (that needs fixing first)
- Water coming from the waste or taps rather than the bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before booking.
What we work on
- Pressed steel enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Cast iron enamel
- Acrylic
Should you replace it?
Replacing a fitted bath typically means a plumber, lifting out the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. Repairing it fixes just the damaged area in one visit. Prices start from £95. Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
Why us?
- Everything repaired in place
- Rooms protected and left tidy
- Colour-matched on site
- Most jobs done in one visit

Aftercare tips
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Don’t leave a fresh chip for long
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
Don’t leave a chip on a steel or cast iron bath. Water gets to the metal and rust starts, and a rust spot is a bigger repair than a clean chip.
When to call us in East Worthing
Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tools, tiles and fittings get dropped into the bath, frequently before anyone notices. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.
People usually call us when they notice something like this:
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Impact holes in acrylic
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose

DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so early repairs matter.
