Bath repair in Edingale, done in place
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. You can generally use the bath the day after. Whether it’s damage done while the bathroom was being fitted and a hole punched through by something heavy, we can help, whatever the material.
All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee, wherever you are in Staffordshire.

What we do, step by step
Visits start with a quick look at the job together. Then the area is sheeted and masked and the work begins. It normally takes two to three hours for most chips, and we’ll keep you posted as we go.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
- The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Tell us about parking, stairs or access
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Let us know if it has been repaired before

What else we do in Edingale
When to call us in Edingale
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and building work is a common culprit. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: poor support underneath, so the bath flexes when it’s full.
Customers normally contact us about:
- Damage beneath the taps
- Chips along the edge of the bath
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- A cracked acrylic bath
Questions to ask before booking
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
- Whether they match the colour on site
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
- What preparation is included
Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour matched, just like other baths.
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. A chip down to the iron can rust, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Questions from Edingale
Is there a guarantee?
Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.
What information do you need?
Send pictures through the quote form or call 0345 017 0787, and we will do the rest.
What happens if you find more damage?
Your quote covers the damage in the photos. If there is more, we will tell you before starting.
How invisible is a bath repair?
We aim for a repair you can’t easily find. The rest of the bath’s condition makes a difference.
How long does the repair take to cure?
Normally by the following day, depending on the repair.
Will you leave a mess?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and tidy up before we leave.
Can you repair a failed DIY repair?
Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Tell us about it when you send photos.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.

DIY kit or professional repair?
For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
For landlords and businesses
For anyone letting property in or around Edingale, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.
For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, so there is no need to replace a damaged item at the last minute. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
When we would advise against a repair
A repair isn’t right for every job, for example:
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Metal that has corroded all the way through
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
Should you replace it?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It’s quicker, cheaper and far less disruptive, and you keep the bath you chose. Where the entire surface is tired, we may suggest re-enamelling instead. Prices start from £95. We charge the same wherever you are, so there’s no premium for Edingale. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Keeping it looking good
Most damage we see is avoidable. A few tips:
- If an acrylic bath flexes, have its feet adjusted
- Fix dripping taps early to stop staining and limescale
- Have new chips seen to early
- Rinse it down after each bath
Give the repair the full curing time we recommend before using the bath. From then on, mild cleaning is all it needs.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
