When a repair is not the answer
We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- Wear across the whole surface, which needs re-enamelling
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think before you book.
What we work on
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Cast iron enamel
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Acrylic
How we handle bath repair in Falkirk
We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath and the tiles around it. Most baths can be used again the following day. We regularly repair whirlpool & spa baths, acrylic and roll-top & freestanding, and the jobs we see most are hairline or through cracks in acrylic and a chipped rim or side.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months in Falkirk and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work.

Materials and what they mean for the repair
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. There’s no rust, but cracks, holes and scratches happen, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid, and frequently freestanding. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, just like other baths.
Signs you need bath repair in Falkirk
Damage during fitting is very common. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, often before anyone notices. We repair snagging damage like this regularly.
The things clients usually mention when they call are:

What bath repair costs
Prices start from £95. There’s no area surcharge for Falkirk. The price reflects:
- Unusual colours or finishes
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- What kind of damage it is
- The material
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Getting a price from pictures
Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- A photo taken from further back
- What it’s made of, if you know
- Where you are, by postcode
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
What happens on the day
When we visit, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. Expect it to take a few hours, depending on the damage. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, typically the next day.

Advice
Repairing versus replacing in Falkirk
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: tiles along the rim typically crack when it comes out, a new panel is often needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. A repair skips all of it. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Why us?
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor

Aftercare tips
Much of the damage we repair could have been avoided. A few tips:
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Check that an acrylic bath does not move when you stand in it
- Stick to mild cleaners and a soft cloth
- Get a dripping tap fixed promptly
For the first few days, keep heavy bottles off the repaired spot. After that, normal gentle cleaning is fine, avoiding abrasives.
Rust spreads under enamel faster than most people expect. Left for months, a small chip can grow into a large rust patch, so it pays to deal with it early.
FAQs for Falkirk
Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?
Generally. Photos of the hole and the underside help us check.
Do you cover Falkirk?
Yes, we do. We send a technician to Falkirk for every job, with no extra charge for travel.
Can you redo an old repair?
Regularly. The old material comes out, any rust is treated, then we repair it properly.
Can I add another job to the visit?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We come back with a fixed price. You are under no obligation.
How invisible is a bath repair?
On a bath in good condition, a colour-matched repair is very hard to spot. On older, dull enamel the repair can look glossier than the area around it.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.
When can you do it?
We will give you dates with your quote. If it’s urgent, say so and we’ll do what we can.
