Bath chip & crack repair in Kingshall Street, Suffolk
We travel to Kingshall Street for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Nothing is taken out, with a one-year guarantee.
- Repairs from £95
- A chip where the taps sit
- A chipped rim or side

Aftercare tips
After the repair has cured, a few habits help it last:
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Use a soft cloth and washing-up liquid for everyday cleaning
- Do not scrub with anything abrasive
- Store metal items away from the bath
Care for the repair the same way as the bath: a soft cloth and washing-up liquid is all it needs. Keep scouring pads and gritty cleaners away from it.
A small chip is a quick job. Leave them and they collect dirt, stain and, on metal baths, rust, so early repair saves time and money.
About our bath repair in Kingshall Street
A damaged bath does not have to mean a new bathroom. We fill the damage, shape it to the curve of the bath and refinish it, mixing the colour on the day so the repair is hard to spot. Common call-outs are for chips caused by builders and scuffs and scratches in the surface, in roll-top & freestanding, acrylic and cast iron enamel.
A one-year guarantee comes as standard, so you are not left on your own once we’ve gone.

Repair or replace: which is better?
People frequently assume a cracked or chipped bath has to come out. In most cases it does not: a repair keeps the bath in service for years, and costs far less than the disruption of a replacement. Prices start from £95. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

The process
Arrival times are agreed in advance, so you’re not left guessing. On site, it takes a few hours, depending on the damage for most jobs. The room is left tidy and you’ll know when it can be used.
- We clean the area and remove any loose enamel or rust.
- Next we fill the damage and sand it smooth and level.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We build up the finish and polish it into the surrounding enamel.
- We leave it to cure; you can generally use the bath the following day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
- Let us know about parking or access
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
How to get a price
We price from pictures so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and we’ll come back with a fixed figure.

Honest limits
Not everything can be repaired, and we would rather say so up front. We cannot fix:
- Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath
- Acrylic cracks with no access behind them
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.
Materials we repair
- Pressed steel enamel
- Acrylic
- Cast iron enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
- Whirlpool & spa baths
What we are called out for in Kingshall Street
Rust normally starts where water sits, by the plughole, beneath dripping taps or in an unrepaired chip. Water on bare metal causes rust that creeps under the surrounding enamel.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Rusty patches near the plughole
- Holes from dropped items
- Scratches you can feel with a fingernail
- Chips along the edge of the bath

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We give every job a fixed quote from pictures. These are the things that affect it:
- The colour and finish to match
- The type of damage
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- How many items we do on one visit
Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Getting a price from pictures
A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. Try to include:
- One picture of the whole bath
- Your postcode, so we can check dates
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of photos using our quote form or call us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.
Repairs by material
Pressed steel
Pressed steel is thinner and lighter, with an enamel finish like cast iron. Chips rust quickly on steel, particularly by the plughole, so repair chips early.
Acrylic
Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it relies on good support. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.
Kingshall Street: your questions answered
How quickly can you book me in?
We’ll give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.
Is there a call-out fee?
Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.
What happens next?
We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we will ask.
Is a bath repair permanent?
Yes, if it’s prepared properly and the bath is sound. It’s covered by our one-year guarantee.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time we agree with you.
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Will the repair show?
The goal is a repair that blends in. How well it disappears depends on the condition of the rest of the bath, and we will tell you what to expect.
Should I try a DIY kit first?
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
