Questions from Long Sutton
Can you repair a failed DIY repair?
Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Tell us about it when you send photos.
Is a repair better than a new one?
Generally, if the item is otherwise sound. A repair avoids removal and making good. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.
What happens once I’ve sent photos?
We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote with dates.
Is it safe with children and pets around?
Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will tell you when the room can be used again.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Lincolnshire.
Which areas do you work in?
All of Lincolnshire, and the rest of the UK. Travel is included in the price.
Can you repair something that is been repaired before?
Yes, regularly. It can add a little time, which we include in the quote.
Is a bath repair durable?
A properly prepared repair should last a long time, and ours come with a one-year guarantee. Gentle cleaning helps it last.
About our bath repair in Long Sutton
Bath repair is our most common job. Chips on the rim, rust around the waste and cracks in acrylic are all repaired in place, normally in one visit. We work on pressed steel enamel, cast iron enamel and acrylic, and people most frequently call us about a failed DIY repair that’s discoloured or lifting and holes from dropped items.

What we cannot put right
A repair is not always the answer, and we’ll tell you before we start. We cannot fix:
- A steel bath rusted through
- A whole bath that is dull or worn, where a full re-enamel is the better fix
- Flexing caused by a failed cradle or loose feet
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.
Materials we repair
- Cast iron enamel
- Whirlpool & spa baths
- Acrylic
- Pressed steel enamel
- Roll-top & freestanding
Repairs by material
Acrylic
An acrylic bath is a moulded sheet strengthened from below. They don’t rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and cracks need support from behind to stay fixed.
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid, and often freestanding. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
What we do, step by step
A typical visit goes like this: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, do the job and tidy away. Plan for a morning or an afternoon. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to care for it.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- We clean, key and degrease the damage.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the next day.
How to prepare
- Open a window if you can
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Getting a price
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.
Advice
Should I try a DIY kit first?
You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair will not last.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Repair or replace: which is better?
A new bath costs more than the bath itself: removal and disposal, plumbing, a new panel, tiling and decorating. A repair is one job, done in one visit. Our bath repair starts from £95. The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.
What you get with us
- One price list for the entire UK
- Nothing taken out or refitted
- Every repair guaranteed for a year
- One visit for most repairs

Keeping it looking good
Simple care helps the repair last. We recommend:
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Rinse the bath after use, especially in hard water areas
- Don’t leave razors or cans standing in the bath
- Put a towel in the bath if you are working above it
Leave the repair to cure for as long as we say before running a bath. After that, gentle cleaning keeps it looking good.
Tape over a fresh chip or crack until it’s repaired, to keep water out. Take it off before we arrive.

How we price bath repair
Repairs from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Long Sutton. The price reflects:
- How many items we do on one visit
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- The material and finish
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.
