Bath Repair in Marazion
We travel to Marazion for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Everything is done in place, with a one-year guarantee.

Repairs by material
Composite and resin
Composite baths are dense and solid. Chips and scratches are filled and matched, just like other baths.
Acrylic
Acrylic baths are moulded sheet reinforced underneath. They do not rust, but they can crack, scratch or be holed, and a crack only stays repaired if it’s supported underneath.
About our bath repair in Marazion
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. We regularly repair cast iron enamel, pressed steel enamel and roll-top & freestanding, and common reasons people get in touch are rust by the waste and overflow and scuffs and scratches in the surface.
A one-year guarantee comes with the work, just as it does everywhere we cover.

When we’d advise against a repair
To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:
- A bath worn all over, where resurfacing makes more sense
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

How it works
We begin by going over the job with you. Next, we cover and mask everything nearby and we start. You can expect it to take a few hours, depending on the damage.
- We start by cleaning the damage and taking out loose enamel and rust.
- We fill the damage and sand it flush with the surrounding surface.
- We tint the finish on the day to suit your bath’s shade of white or colour.
- We apply the finish coats and polish the repair so it blends in.
- Once it has cured, typically by the following day, the bath is ready to use.
Preparing for the visit
- Make sure the room can be ventilated
- Let the surface dry out before the visit
- Let us know about parking or access

Advice
Questions from Marazion
Can you repair a chip on a coloured bath?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
Can you redo an old repair?
Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Mention it when you send photos.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, Marazion included. There is no extra charge for travel.
What happens if you find more damage?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Is a holed acrylic bath repairable?
Frequently, if there is access underneath. We back the hole, fill it and refinish the surface.
Can you quote from pictures?
Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
In most cases. The old repair comes out first.
Should you replace it?
A new bath brings a chain of other jobs: the tiles sitting on the rim tend to break, a new panel is frequently needed, and a plumber has to disconnect and reconnect everything. Repairing the damage avoids all of that. Our bath repair starts from £95. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
Can I fix it myself?
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. Just mention it when you send pictures, as it can add time.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.
Do you need bath repair in Marazion?
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and building work is a common culprit. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
These are the problems we are asked about most:
- Cracks in an acrylic bath
- An old repair that has yellowed or come loose
- Deep scratches in acrylic
- Rusty patches near the plughole
What your quote should include
- Aftercare advice
- The length of the guarantee and what it covers
- How long it needs to cure
- Who will actually do the work

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £95. We price every job individually. The main factors are:
- What kind of damage it is
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- The material and finish
- How many areas need work
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
Getting a price from photos
You can take the photos on your phone. Ensure they show:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- Something in shot to show the size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- The material, if you know it
Upload photos of the damage and one of the whole item, with your TR17 postcode, and we will come back with a fixed quote.
