Bath repair in Netherby without replacing anything
We repair enamelled steel, cast iron and acrylic baths. Each material is repaired a little differently: metal baths need any rust dealt with first, and acrylic cracks need support from behind. If you’re dealing with scuffs and scratches in the surface and hairline or through cracks in acrylic, we can normally put it right.
All of our repairs are guaranteed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back.

Netherby: your questions answered
I tried a repair kit. Can you fix it?
Yes. We take out the old repair and do it properly. Tell us about it when you send pictures.
Is there a guarantee?
Every repair comes with our one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we leave the room clean.
Can you match an avocado or pink bath?
Yes. We mix the colour on the day to match, including older coloured suites.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it generally saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we will quote them together.
Can you repair a hole in a bath?
Generally, yes, if we can reach behind it. The hole is backed, filled and refinished to match.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Is there any odour?
It depends on the job, but frequently a little. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.
How we price bath repair
Prices start from £95. We charge the same across the UK, including Netherby. The price reflects:
- What the surface is made of
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How much damage there is
Compared with replacing, a repair is normally a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.
Send photos for a quote
The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
For most jobs, photos are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will send back a fixed quote and some dates.
Repairs by material
Cast iron
Cast iron baths are thick and very strong, finished with fired enamel. Chips can rust if left, but the bath itself lasts for generations, so it’s always worth repairing.
Pressed steel
Steel baths are lighter than cast iron, but have a similar enamel surface. Chips rust quickly on steel, especially around the waste, so early repairs matter.
The process
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you’re happy with the plan. Most jobs take a morning or an afternoon, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- We protect the bath and the floor around it.
- The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased.
- Filler goes in and is sanded flush once it has set.
- We match both the colour and the shine.
- We clear up and give you the curing time, normally until the following day.
How to prepare
- Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Let us know if it has been repaired before
Getting a price
Getting a price is easy: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. There’s no charge for the quote and no obligation.

When a repair is not the answer

- Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly.

Repair or replace: which is better?
Replacing a fitted bath normally involves a plumber, removing the old bath, making good the tiles and panel and getting rid of the old bath. A repair deals only with the damage in one visit. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.
Why us?
- No need to remove anything
- Free fixed quotes from pictures
- Dust sheets down, tidy finish
- Technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

For landlords and businesses
If you manage property in Netherby, we’ll quote for several properties at once. Just send photos for each address and we’ll price them together.
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Netherby as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it costs much less than replacing.
Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.
