Book bath repair in Parkhead

What bath repair costs

Repairs from £95. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How much damage there is
  • What the surface is made of

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

Getting a price from pictures

You can typically get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With one close-up and one wider picture, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Bath repair at your home in Parkhead

We repair just the damaged spot and colour-match it to the bath, which costs far less than replacing a fitted bath. You can normally use the bath the next day. Whether it’s a cracked acrylic bath and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose, we can generally put it right, whatever the material.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before you book.

Different materials, different repairs

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. Only the enamel surface wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

Pressed steel

Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Exposed steel rusts quickly, so the metal is treated and sealed before the repair.

What happens on the day

Nothing needs to be moved out of the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we’ve agreed what we are doing. It generally takes a morning or an afternoon, and you’re welcome to carry on with your day while we work.

  1. First, we check the damage against your pictures and agree the plan.
  2. Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
  3. The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
  4. The colour is tinted by hand until it matches.
  5. The repair is polished to the same gloss as the bath and left to cure.

How to prepare

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

How to get a price

Advice

Honest limits

It helps to know what we cannot do too:

  • Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
  • Cracks in acrylic we cannot reach from underneath
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Cast iron enamel
  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Roll-top & freestanding

Do you need bath repair in Parkhead?

Heavy toiletries are the biggest single cause of chips, closely followed by shower heads. Taps and wastes cause problems too: water sits around them, and any chip there soon rusts.

Look out for these signs:

  • Rusty patches near the plughole
  • Chips on the rim or sides
  • A hole punched through by something heavy
  • A chip where the taps sit

What your quote should include

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Aftercare advice
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether they match the colour on site

Choosing a repair company

Why repair rather than replace?

Think about the hidden costs of a new bath: taking out the old one, plumbing, tiling, a panel and redecorating. With a repair, it’s one visit and one price. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. We do not add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Why Parkhead clients choose us

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
