Bath Repair in Uxbridge
We travel to Uxbridge for chip and crack repairs to enamel, acrylic and cast iron baths. Nothing is taken out, and the work is guaranteed.
- Repairs from £95
- Rust by the waste and overflow
- A hole punched through by something heavy

Can I fix it myself?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and give it the full curing time. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.
Bath repair in Uxbridge without replacing anything
Most bath damage, from chips and cracks to rust spots and holes, can be repaired with the bath left exactly where it is. There is no plumbing to disconnect, your tiles stay as they are, and the repaired area is colour matched so it blends in. Our repair technicians work on cast iron enamel, pressed steel enamel and acrylic, and common reasons people contact us are a chip where the taps sit and an old repair that has yellowed or come loose.
Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee.

When we’d advise against a repair
We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:
- Leaks from the waste or overflow fittings (a plumber’s job)
- A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
- Cracks in parts of an acrylic bath we can’t get to from below
Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Why repair rather than replace?
If the rest of the bath is in good condition, a repair is almost always the better choice. It costs less, takes less time and causes far less upheaval, and the bathroom stays as it is. If the whole surface is worn, re-enamelling may make more sense, and we will tell you. Repairs from £95, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many items we do on one visit. You get a fixed price from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

Do you need bath repair in Uxbridge?
Dropped items cause the majority of chips, and a lot happen during bathroom refits. Cracks in acrylic have a different cause: the bath isn’t properly supported, so it flexes under weight.
If you can see any of these, send us a photo:
- Chips under the taps
- Snagging damage from a refit
- A chipped rim or side
- A cracked acrylic bath
Questions to ask before you book
- How changes to the job are handled
- Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
- How soon you can use it again
- What the guarantee covers, and for how long
Uxbridge: your questions answered
What if the damage is worse than the photos show?
We’ll show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Can you quote from photos?
Generally, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.
Can you repair a failed DIY repair?
Yes. We remove the old filler and start again. Tell us about it when you send pictures.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners in Uxbridge.
Is repairing better than replacing?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we’ll tell you.
How long before I can use the bath?
Most baths can be used the day after. We’ll tell you the exact curing time when we finish.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your photos and you will get one combined price.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.
Different materials, different repairs
Composite and resin
Stone resin and composite baths are heavy and solid. Chips and scratches can be filled and colour-matched, in much the same way.
Pressed steel
Under the enamel of a steel bath is thin metal. Once a chip exposes it, rust follows quickly, so we treat and seal the metal before filling.
Looking after it afterwards
Once the work has cured, treat it gently:
- Protect the bath with a towel when doing jobs nearby
- Clean with warm water and a mild detergent
- Do not leave a fresh chip for long
- Store metal items away from the bath
A repaired bath needs no special treatment, just sensible cleaning. Skip bleach and gritty creams and rinse after use.
If an acrylic bath has a crack, stop showering in it until it’s repaired. Every use opens the crack a little more, and water can get through to the floor below.
How it works
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we are there. We protect the area first, then the work takes two to three hours for most chips. Before we leave, we explain the curing time and the aftercare.
- We start by looking at the damage and confirming the plan with you.
- Any rust and loose material comes out, and the area is degreased.
- The damage is filled in layers and shaped to the curve of the bath.
- We tint the finish by hand to match the bath.
- Finally, it’s polished to match the shine and left to cure.
Before we arrive
- Point us to the nearest place to park
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
How to get a price
Upload a picture of the damage and one of the entire item, and tell us you are in Uxbridge, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Landlord and trade work in Uxbridge
We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.
Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.
