The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand. Once we’re there, the work takes a few hours, depending on the damage for most jobs. We leave the room clean and ready to use once it has cured.

  1. Dust sheets and masking go down around the bath.
  2. The damaged area is cleaned, keyed and degreased, and any rust is treated.
  3. We fill it, let it set, then sand it flush.
  4. Colour and gloss are matched to the surrounding surface.
  5. We tidy up and tell you when the bath can be used, normally the following day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Do you need bath repair in Weald?

Many chips happen while the bathroom is being fitted. Tradespeople drop tools and tiles into the bath, and the damage isn’t always spotted until later. Snagging repairs like these are a regular job for us.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Rusty patches near the plughole
  • A chip where the taps sit
  • Scuffs and scratches in the surface
  • Chips on the rim or sides

What to look for in a quote

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • What happens if they find more damage

Our hiring checklist

Repairs by material

Acrylic

Acrylic is light and warm to the touch, but it needs firm support underneath. Repairs to cracks are reinforced from the back.

Cast iron

Cast iron baths are so heavy that repairing in place makes obvious sense. The enamel is the part that wears or chips, and that’s the part we put right.

What affects the price in Weald

Prices start from £95. We do not charge extra for travel to Weald. The price comes down to:

  • How much damage there is
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Weald. The job itself decides the price: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Quotes from your photos

You can take the photos on your phone, there’s no need for anything special. Just ensure we can see:

  • Details of any past repairs
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A photo taken from further back
  • What it’s made of, if you know

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole bath, add your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Weald

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details and we will handle the rest.

If you manage property in Weald, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll come back with a combined price.

Repair or replace: which is better?

For damage in one or two places, a repair is the obvious choice. It costs far less than a new bath plus fitting, it takes one visit, and the bathroom stays exactly as it is. Prices start from £95. What it costs depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your pictures, so there are no surprises on the day.

FAQs for Weald

Is there a guarantee?

All our work carries a one-year guarantee. We will explain what it covers when we quote.

What areas do you cover?

Across the UK. Prices don’t change with location.

Something went through my bath. Can it be fixed?

Normally. Send us a photo of the hole and one from under the bath if you can.

Is there any odour?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We come back with a fixed price, normally with dates to choose from. There is no obligation to book.

When can you do it?

We will give you dates with your quote. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

What about rust by the waste?

Yes. We take out the rust and any loose enamel, fill the area, then colour-match the finish.

Do you repair coloured baths?

Yes. The colour is mixed on site to suit your bath, including older coloured suites.

What a repair cannot fix

A repair is not right for every job, for example:

  • A bath that moves underfoot, until its support is fixed
  • Leaking fittings, which need a plumber
  • Rust that has eaten right through a steel bath

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Acrylic
  • Whirlpool & spa baths
  • Pressed steel enamel
  • Roll-top & freestanding
  • Cast iron enamel

DIY repairs versus a professional job

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
