Bath resealing for Corpach homes

Bath resealing at your home in Corpach

The key to a good reseal is getting all of the old silicone out. Fresh sealant doesn’t stick to old, which is why so many DIY reseals peel. Whether it’s damp near the bath and stained silicone, we can help, whatever the material.

You’re covered after we leave: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking.

What bath resealing costs

We charge the same across the UK, including Corpach. The price reflects:

  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it

A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

How to get a fixed quote

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A photo taken from further back
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

If you are in Corpach and want a price, photos are the quickest way: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. We reply with a fixed quote and our next available dates.

Repairs by material

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, for the same reason.

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, once the joint is completely dry.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it doesn’t work out, we can still repair it properly.

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Corpach questions

What happens next?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

Do you cover Corpach?

Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Corpach. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Why does mould come back so fast?

Usually poor ventilation and moisture sitting on the joint. We use mould-resistant silicone, and ventilation helps it last.

Can pets and children be at home?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Can I add another job to the visit?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

What do you need from me?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we will agree a date.

Can you reseal over the old silicone?

We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone does not stick to old.

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing costs very little. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. A repair is priced on what needs doing, not your postcode. You’ll see the full price before booking, with no extras added later.

What you get with us

Do you need bath resealing in Corpach?

A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould takes hold.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Gaps by the taps
  • Black spots in the silicone
  • Leaks at the edges
  • Silicone coming away from the tiles

Comparing quotes

  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • How to care for the finish
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • Whether they match the colour on site

Choosing a repair company

Keeping it looking good

How the surface is treated afterwards matters. Here’s what we suggest:

  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
  • Reseal at the first sign of lifting
  • Air the room after use
  • Wipe the joints dry after use

Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, normally about a day.

Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

When a repair isn’t the answer

In fairness, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • A bath or tray that moves, until its support is fixed
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Kitchen worktops & sinks
  • Basins & vanity units
  • Wet rooms
  • Shower trays & enclosures
  • Baths

How it works

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take about two hours for a bath. We tidy up before we leave and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
  2. Old sealant and residue are removed.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing

Ask for a price

Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the entire item, send them over with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.
