Trusted bath resealing in Inch

What bath resealing costs

We charge the same across the UK, including Inch. What changes the price is:

  • The material
  • The type of damage
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • How many items we do on one visit

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

How to get a fixed quote

When you take your photos, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates

No survey visit is needed: we price from pictures. Use the quote form, or ring 0345 017 0787 to talk it through, and you’ll get a fixed figure back.

Bath resealing in Inch, done in place

Baths, trays, basins and kitchen worktops all get resealed, with mould-resistant sanitary silicone. Most jobs take a couple of hours, plus curing time. If you’re dealing with water getting behind the bath or tray and gaps by the taps, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.

You are covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there’s a problem and we will come back.

Do you need bath resealing in Inch?

Sealant doesn’t last forever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould feeds on, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • Black spots in the silicone
  • Sealant that’s split or lifting
  • Water getting behind the bath or tray
  • Unsealed corners

Before booking anyone

  • How soon you can use it again
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • What preparation is included
  • Who turns up on the day

How to compare quotes

Is resealing worth it?

Resealing costs very little. Failed sealant can lead to water damage that is much more expensive. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. You will see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

How it works

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. We bring everything we need with us, put protection down and start once you’re happy with the plan. It typically takes around two hours, and you can get on with other things while we are there.

  1. We protect the area and mask the joint lines.
  2. We remove the old sealant and every trace of residue.
  3. The joint is cleaned, treated and dried.
  4. We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
  5. We smooth the bead, remove the tape and leave it to cure.

How to prepare

  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Getting a price

Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them to us with your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs frequently look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, it’s worth having it done properly.

When a repair is not the answer

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair will not fix:

  • A flexing bath
  • Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
  • Rotten walls or floors behind the bath

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in Inch

Work for landlords and builders

If you manage property in Inch, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send pictures for each one and we will come back with a combined price.

Looking after it afterwards

Nothing complicated is needed:

  • Do not stand toiletries on the seal
  • Replace the seal when mould sets in
  • Clean the joints with a mild cleaner
  • Keep the joints dry

Keep the room well ventilated, and wipe the joints after use to keep mould away.

Black mould in sealant is not just unsightly; it shows moisture is getting in. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.
