Bath Resealing in Lyddington
Bath resealing for Lyddington, without a refit. Get a fixed quote from your photos, then we come to you.
- Unsealed corners
- Stained silicone
- A messy previous reseal

Can I fix it myself?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.
Bath resealing in Lyddington, done in place
We reseal baths with them filled with water, so the joint is at its widest, which stops the new seal tearing the first time the bath is used. Our technicians work on shower trays & enclosures, baths and wet rooms, and the jobs we see most are discoloured, yellow sealant and gaps by the taps.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If there’s a problem with the repair within the year, we return and sort it.

Lyddington: your questions answered
Which areas do you work in?
Across the UK, so Lyddington is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.
Do I have to be there?
Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time we agree with you.
When can you do it?
That depends on our diary for your area. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.
Are you accredited?
We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.
Is it OK to have pets in the house?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.
Why does my sealant keep going mouldy?
Mould needs moisture. Ventilation and drying keep it clean longer.
Can you reseal over the old silicone?
No, we never seal over old silicone. The old sealant is cut out and the joint cleaned and dried.
Can landlords book you?
We do, regularly. We can quote for several properties together and work between tenancies.
How the visit works
On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job usually takes about two hours for a bath. We clean up when we’re done and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- The old silicone is cut out completely.
- We remove the residue and clean the joint.
- Any mould is treated and the joint dried.
- The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
- New mould-resistant silicone is applied and tooled neatly.
Getting ready for the visit
- Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
- Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
How to get a price
Getting a price is easy: take a close-up of the damage and a picture from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed price back. There is no charge for the quote and no obligation.

What we are called out for in Lyddington
A bathroom without good ventilation is hard on sealant: moisture sits on the joints longer, and mould grows faster.
Signs it’s time to call us include:
- Stained silicone
- Sealant that’s split or lifting
- An untidy old seal
- Damp near the bath
What to look for in a quote
- Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
- Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
- What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
- Who turns up on the day
Aftercare tips
To keep it looking its best:
- Do not stand toiletries on the seal
- Wipe the joints dry after use
- Ventilate the bathroom well
- Let steam out after showers
Do not scrape the sealant with anything sharp, and don’t stand bottles on the seal.
If you notice damp, stains on the ceiling below or loose tiles, act quickly. It may be more than a reseal, so we will tell you if it needs a builder or plumber.
