- Discoloured, yellow sealant
- Missing sealant behind the taps

Bath resealing in Ponteland, done in place
A reseal is a small job that makes a big difference. Clean, white joints make a bathroom look cared for, and they protect the walls and floor. Typical jobs include gaps in the seal and damp near the bath, on kitchen worktops & sinks, wet rooms and basins & vanity units.
Whatever the size of the job, you get the same one-year guarantee.

DIY repairs versus a professional job
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
Why reseal now?
Resealing costs very little and protects the walls and floor. Leaving failed sealant can let water cause damage that costs far more to fix. The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so you know the cost before you book.

The process
On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job typically takes a couple of hours. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.
- The surrounding area is protected and the joints masked.
- Old sealant and residue are removed.
- We clean, treat and dry the joint.
- We run a continuous bead of new silicone.
- The bead is smoothed, the tape removed and the seal left to cure.
Preparing for the visit
- Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
- Keep a parking space free if you can
Ask for a price
A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the bath or shower, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Aftercare tips
A little care keeps the finish looking good. Our advice:
- Reseal at the first sign of lifting
- Dry the seal after bathing
- Run the extractor fan during and after showers
- Air the room after use
Let it cure fully before using the bath or shower, normally around 24 hours.
Do not wait until water gets behind the bath. Split or lifting sealant is a sign it’s time.
How we price bath resealing
There is no area surcharge for Ponteland. The price reflects:
- Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
- Whether we combine several jobs
- What kind of damage it is
- The size and number of damaged areas
A few things move the price: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.
How to get a fixed price
Before you send photos, a few simple things make all the difference:
- Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
- What it’s made of, if you know
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
- Where you are, by postcode
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole bath or shower, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Your questions about bath resealing in Ponteland
When can I use the bath after resealing?
We will give you the curing time.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
Generally, yes. Let us know what was used before.
Will you leave a mess?
Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.
Can you do more than one item on the same visit?
Of course, and it typically saves money. Send pictures of everything together and we’ll quote them together.
I rent my home. Can I book you?
Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
Is the work guaranteed?
All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We carry out repairs for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, builders and businesses across Northumberland.
Is there any odour?
There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.
Landlord and trade work in Ponteland
Landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Ponteland use us as well as homeowners. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it generally costs far less than a refit.
Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
When we’d advise against a repair
A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:
- Tiles that move, until they’re refixed
- Water damage behind the bath that needs a builder
- Gaps so wide they need filling or trims before sealing
Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before you book.
