Bath resealing in Wilden, done in place

We cut out all of the old sealant, deal with any mould, and reseal with new mould-resistant silicone. We reseal baths, showers, sinks and worktops, including the awkward bits behind the taps. Typical jobs include a messy previous reseal and mould you can’t clean out, on kitchen worktops & sinks, basins & vanity units and baths.

Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee.

Why it’s worth resealing in Wilden

Resealing is routine maintenance. Putting off a reseal lets water get behind the bath or tray, which costs far more to put right. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Wilden. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why book with us

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • No need to remove anything
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year

Repairs by material

Sinks and worktops

We reseal basins, vanity tops and kitchen worktops, with the joint fully dried first.

Shower trays

Trays are sealed with weight on them, so the joint is at its widest.

Wilden questions

Are there extra charges for Wilden?

Travel is included in the price, and we charge the same wherever you are.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, mainly so nothing gets touched before it has cured.

Are you a vetted contractor?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. See our accreditations page for the full list.

Can you price it without visiting?

In nearly every case. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

Do you work for landlords and businesses?

Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as homeowners.

My seal keeps tearing. Why?

Movement is the usual cause, or it was sealed with the bath empty. We fill the bath before sealing it.

Do you seal over the old sealant?

We always remove the old sealant completely. Fresh silicone doesn’t stick to old.

Work for landlords and builders

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Letting agents frequently send us photos straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

When to call us in Wilden

No sealant lasts for ever. Each shower leaves moisture and soap behind, which mould loves, and the joint flexes each time the bath fills.

Most people get in touch after spotting something like this:

  • Gaps by the taps
  • Leaks at the edges
  • A messy previous reseal
  • Sealant that is split or lifting

Questions to ask before you book

  • Who will actually do the work
  • How to look after the finish
  • How soon you can use it again
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

Our hiring checklist

Looking after it afterwards

Once the work has cured, treat it gently:

  • Give the seal a regular clean
  • Store bottles on a shelf
  • Use the extractor fan
  • Reseal at the first sign of lifting

Leave the sealant to cure for the time we give you, typically around 24 hours.

Black mould in sealant isn’t just unsightly, it’s a sign moisture is sitting in the joint. An early reseal keeps water where it belongs.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, and give it the full curing time. If it fails, we can still put it right.

The process

We agree an arrival time beforehand. Once we’re there, the work takes a couple of hours in most cases. We leave the room clean.

  1. The old silicone is cut out completely.
  2. Residue is removed and the joint cleaned.
  3. We treat mould and dry the joint thoroughly.
  4. The bath is filled with water, or weight put on the tray.
  5. We apply fresh mould-resistant silicone and tool a neat bead.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
  • Make sure the area is dry

Getting a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire bath or shower, add your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
