Coloured bath resurfacing for Abercregan homes

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Abercregan

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. We work on whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

Big or small, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What we can’t put right

To be straight with you, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

What happens on the day

A typical visit goes like this: we arrive at the agreed slot, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and how to care for it.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, generally until the day after.

How to prepare

  • Keep a parking space free if you can
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Common questions in Abercregan

Can pets and children be at home?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Is repairing better than replacing?

Typically, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. If replacing would be better, we’ll say so.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Yes, almost always. Clear photos let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Will you leave a mess?

No. The work area is masked and covered, and we take our waste away with us.

Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?

Generally, yes. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

Work for landlords and builders

We also carry out snagging repairs for builders and developers, fixing chips and scratches before handover so nothing needs replacing. We are CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out photos. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Abercregan?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you’ll get a fixed figure.

Why book with us

  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • The material
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The colour and finish to match

We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Abercregan. What changes the price is the job itself: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

How to get a fixed quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A picture taken from further back
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can price the job the same day in most cases.
