About our coloured bath resurfacing in Ashby St Mary

A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. We work on whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

All our work is covered by our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

When to call us in Ashby St Mary

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

If you can see any of these, send us a picture:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

When we would advise against a repair

We will not take on work that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Materials we work on in Ashby St Mary

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Quotes are free and the price is fixed. What we look at:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • How hard the colour is to match

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. The full price is agreed before booking.

Quotes from your pictures

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage. Try to send:

  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is normally cheaper.

Landlord and trade work in Ashby St Mary

For anyone letting property in or around Ashby St Mary, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Send photos for each one and we’ll price them together.

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send pictures, the address and how to get access.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.

Why book with us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK

The process

When we visit, we arrive at the time we’ve agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job typically takes one to two days for a full suite. We clean up when we’re done and let you know when you can use it again.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Make sure the area is dry
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Do you cover Ashby St Mary?

Yes, we do. Technicians travel to Ashby St Mary from across the region, and the price is the same as everywhere else.

What happens after I send pictures?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote and the next dates we have.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.
