Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Ashford

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Ashford

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We work on coloured basins, coloured shower trays and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and people most often call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Ashford. The price depends on:

  • How many areas need work
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How hard the colour is to match

There are no surprise extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

How to get a fixed price

You can usually get a fixed quote without us visiting. To help us price it:

  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

There’s no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: send a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed quote.

Honest limits

A few problems are outside what a surface repair can do:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths

For landlords and businesses

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs. A repair avoids taking out and refitting, which is easier on the people living there.

Letting agents often send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

When to call us in Ashford

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

If you can see any of these, send us a photo:

  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • What happens if they find more damage
  • What protection goes down before work starts
  • When it can be used again
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

Ashford questions

Do you hold any accreditations?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Is my repair covered?

Yes: twelve months. If anything goes wrong with the repair within the year, we return to fix it.

What information do you need?

Some photos, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.

Can I get a quote without a visit?

Nearly always. If pictures do not show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.

I’m a tenant. Can you help?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Can pets and children be at home?

On the day, the room should be kept clear of pets and children, so the repair isn’t disturbed while it cures.

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Which areas do you work in?

Everywhere in the UK, Ashford included. There is no extra charge for travel.

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface isn’t prepared the repair won’t last.

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

Why book with us

  • Most jobs done in one visit
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

See our prices page and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

How the visit works

We turn up when we said we would, introduces themselves and looks over the damage before anything else. Dust sheets and masking tape go down before we open a single tin. The work itself takes one to two days for a full suite, and we leave the room as we found it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
