Coloured bath resurfacing near Ashill

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Ashill

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour.

Every repair is covered by our one-year guarantee. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How it works

We begin by going over the job with you. After that, protection goes down around the work area and we start. It normally takes one to two days for a full suite, and we will keep you posted as we go.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.

Before we arrive

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Clear toiletries, mats and anything else from around the area
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children

Advice

Ashill: your questions answered

Can landlords book you?

Yes, frequently. We quote for multiple addresses and fit around tenancy changeovers.

Is there any odour?

There may be a mild smell during the work that clears as it cures.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Just keep them out of the work area. We will tell you when the room can be used again.

Can you quote from pictures?

Typically, yes. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed price.

Will you leave a mess?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Norfolk. Just include your postcode and we’ll offer you dates.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Will the price change on the day?

The price is fixed for what the photos show. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most frequently are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

Honest limits

We will always be straight with you, so here’s what a repair cannot fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before booking. We take into account:

  • The type of damage
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • Whether we combine several jobs

The price depends on how much damage there is and what kind, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Quotes from your photos

You can take the photos on your phone, there is no need for anything special. Just make sure we can see:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Pricing is simple: take a close-up of the damage and a photo from further back, send them over with your postcode, and you’ll get a fixed quote back. Quotes are free and you’re under no obligation.

Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Compared with replacing, repairing typically costs far less, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Why us?

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Typically one visit, start to finish
  • One price list for the entire UK
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

What we’re called out for in Ashill

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

Comparing quotes

  • Aftercare advice
  • How your room will be protected
  • What happens if the damage is worse than the photos show
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
