About our coloured bath resurfacing in Ashton
Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can typically put it right, whatever the material.
The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- The colour and finish to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
- How much damage there is
The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.
Getting a price from photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- One sharp close-up of the damage
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- The postcode, so we can plan the visit
- A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
If you are in Ashton and want a price, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

DIY kit or professional repair?
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is usually the cheaper route.
We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
For landlords and businesses
We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Ashton as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it costs much less than replacing.
Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Somerset and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which is easier on the people living there.
Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Ashton
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.
Send us a photo if you notice any of these:
- Faded or patchy colour
- A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
- Selling or letting a home with an old suite
- A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
Comparing quotes
- How the colour is matched
- Who will actually do the work
- How long it needs to cure
- A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included
Why repair rather than replace?
Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, unless the damage turns out to be different, in which case we talk to you first.
Why book with us

What we do, step by step
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can carry on at home. We protect the area first, then the work takes one to two days for a full suite. Before we leave, we explain how soon it can be used and how to look after it.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
- We leave everything to cure, normally until the next day.
Preparing for the visit
- Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
Ask for a price
To get a price, send a couple of pictures using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

What we cannot put right
We’d rather lose a job than do one that won’t last, so these are the limits:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
Materials we repair
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
Ashton questions
Do the materials smell?
Expect a mild smell while we are working.
Do you do work for letting agents?
Yes. We work for landlords, agents, builders and businesses as well as householders in Ashton.
Can you redo someone else’s repair?
Generally, yes. Tell us what was done before.
Is a repair better than a new one?
In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.
I’m a tenant. Can you help?
Of course. Check with your landlord; we can send the quote to them too.
How quickly can you book me in?
That depends on our diary for your area. We’ll offer you dates when we send your quote.
What about the toilet?
Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.
What if the damage is worse than the pictures show?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
