About our coloured bath resurfacing in Austrey

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee in Austrey and across Warwickshire. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it.

What you get with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Work done at your home or business
  • Fixed prices from your photos
  • One visit for most repairs

Take a look at our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

What we cannot put right

We’d rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so here’s what a repair cannot put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

What happens on the day

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We agree the arrival time in advance, protect the area, and get on with the job, which generally takes one to two days for a full suite. If we find something your pictures didn’t show, we’ll explain it before carrying on.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the next day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know about parking or access
  • Open a window if you can

Common problems we fix in Austrey

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

Send us a photo if you notice any of these:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • How the colour is matched
  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • Who will actually do the work
  • How the room is protected while they work

How to compare quotes

For landlords and businesses

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets can’t afford rooms out of action for long, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it does not stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

If you are set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, ensure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. You will not pay by the hour. The price depends on:

  • The material
  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Access to the area
  • How much damage there is

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, what it’s made of and how many jobs we combine into one visit. You get a fixed price from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Getting a price from photos

You can take the pictures on your phone. Just make sure we can see:

  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed price without visiting.
