Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Bacton

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Bacton

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our repair technicians work on whole bathroom suites, coloured basins and coloured shower trays, and common reasons people contact us are a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything is not right, ring us and we’ll come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. There are no surprise extras on the day. What we quote from your pictures is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

What you get with us

  • One price list for the entire UK
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • Normally one visit, start to finish

What happens on the day

From the moment we arrive, the aim is to do the job without disturbing the rest of your home. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items, depending on what we find, and we finish with a tidy-up and a look at the finished work together.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.

If you’re set on a kit, follow its instructions closely, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and don’t use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We charge the same across the UK, including Bacton. What changes the price is:

  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • How many areas need work
  • The material and finish
  • Unusual colours or finishes

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed price

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A wider photo showing the whole suite
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

To get a price, send a couple of photos using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Common problems we fix in Bacton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

What your quote should include

  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long
  • Whether a trained technician does the job
  • How the room is protected while they work
  • How the colour is matched

Choosing a repair company

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

Bacton: your questions answered

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit generally costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

What happens once I’ve sent pictures?

We review the pictures and send a fixed quote and the next dates we have.

Can you do the toilet too?

Ask us. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll advise honestly before quoting.

Is it messy?

Very little mess: we sheet and mask everything nearby, and we take our waste away with us.

Do you cover the whole of Herefordshire?

All of Herefordshire, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Keep pets and children away from the work area on the day.

Is there a call-out fee?

No. Our quotes include travel, and we charge the same wherever you are.

When a repair is not the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.
