Coloured bath resurfacing in Ballater, done in place

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Our repair technicians work on whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays, and the jobs we see most are selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

The most common problems we’re called about are:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

10 questions to ask before booking

What we do, step by step

We begin by going over the job with you. After that, protection goes down around the work area and we start. It normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Clear the area around the damage

How to get a price

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or ring us. We will tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Honest limits

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we’ll say what we think.

What affects the price in Ballater

Resurfacing from £350. Each job gets its own fixed quote. This is what makes a difference:

  • How many items we do on one visit
  • The colour and finish to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • The size and number of damaged areas

We don’t add extras on the day. What we quote from your photos is what you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

Getting a price from pictures

Good photos mean an accurate price. Here’s what helps:

  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Any details about the material
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before

For most jobs, pictures are all we need to give you a price. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we will reply with a fixed quote and the earliest dates we have.

Questions from Ballater

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Of course, and it typically saves money. Just add the extra items to your pictures and we’ll quote them together.

Will there be a smell?

There may be a mild smell during the work.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Ballater?

Resurfacing from £350. The exact price depends on the damage, so we quote from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. You decide whether to go ahead.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. If it is not worth repairing, we’ll tell you.

Which areas do you work in?

The whole UK, including all of Aberdeenshire. Send your postcode with your pictures and we will confirm dates.

For landlords and businesses

We’re used to working with agents and managing companies. Send the address, photos and access details and we’ll handle the rest.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • Accredited with CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor
  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • One visit for most repairs

See our pricing and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Can I fix it myself?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. The trouble is colour and preparation: they come in a handful of shades, and if the surface is not prepared the repair will not last.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is usually cheaper.
