Coloured bath resurfacing in Bangor without replacing anything

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We are often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, across coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. If anything is not right, ring us and we will come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Questions from Bangor

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

In most cases. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Can pets and children be at home?

Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll let you know when it’s safe to use again.

What happens once I’ve sent photos?

We check the damage, the material and your postcode, then reply with a quote.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Usually, if the item is otherwise sound. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We will tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.

Is there any odour?

A little, depending on the job. Ventilation keeps it to a minimum, and it soon fades.

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Bangor?

Resurfacing from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You’ll get a fixed figure before you book.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We are accredited with CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile.

What a repair can’t fix

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send photos and we will say what we think.

10 questions to ask before booking

Repair or replace in Bangor?

Replacing a coloured suite means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Rather than charging by the hour, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and combining items on one visit brings it down.

Why book with us

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Everything repaired in place
  • A fixed quote before booking
  • No extra charge for your area

Read our prices page or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

What we do, step by step

When we visit, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. The job normally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Ask for a price

Work for landlords and builders

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We’ll fit around changeovers where we can.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing items every time a tenant leaves is expensive. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Bangor. The price comes down to:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • How easy the damage is to reach
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • The type of damage

Compared with replacing, repairing normally costs far less, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Send pictures for a quote

It only takes a minute to photograph the damage, and it saves a visit. Try to send:

  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • One picture of the entire suite

Most clients in Bangor get their price from photos. Tell us what happened and where you are, and we’ll send back a fixed quote and some dates.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For damage in plain view, cracks, holes or rust, or coloured finishes, a professional repair is worth it.
