Coloured bath resurfacing for Berkeley Heath homes

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Berkeley Heath

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s faded or patchy colour and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white, we can normally put it right, on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites alike.

All our work comes with our one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Honest limits

We’d rather lose a job than do one that will not last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white turns it white with everything left in place. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send photos and we will give you the exact figure.

Why us?

  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Colour-matched on site
  • A year’s guarantee on all work
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Read our prices page and resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

Can I fix it myself?

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit typically runs: we arrive on time, sheet and mask the area around the job, do the job and clear up. Plan for a day or two, depending on how many items from start to finish. Before we go, we’ll explain when it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated

Related advice

Berkeley Heath: your questions answered

Is it messy?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.

Are you accredited?

Yes. Our accreditations include CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor. The full list is on our accreditations page.

Which areas do you work in?

We work UK-wide, so Berkeley Heath is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

Yes, as long as they stay out of the room we’re working in. We will let you know when it’s safe to use again.

Do the materials smell?

There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.

How do I book?

Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Berkeley Heath

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Questions to ask before booking

  • How the colour is matched
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • Who will actually do the work
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT

Our hiring checklist

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Prices are worked out job by job. The main factors are:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • What kind of damage it is
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Access to the area

Compared with replacing, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because there is no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

Getting a price from pictures

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what to send:

  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.
