Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Birchgrove
Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is normally done in one to two days. We are often asked to fix selling or letting a home with an old suite and faded or patchy colour, across whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.
Peace of mind is built in: each job carries a one-year guarantee, and we explain what it covers before booking. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What happens on the day
Nothing needs to be moved out of the room. Everything we use comes in the van with us, put protection down and get going once we have agreed what we’re doing. It generally takes one to two days for a full suite, and you are welcome to carry on with your day while we work.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- We leave everything to cure, usually until the next day.
Before we arrive
- Keep children and pets away from the room on the day
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Point us to the nearest place to park

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Work for landlords and builders
Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.
Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover, saving last-minute replacements. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
Common questions in Birchgrove
Can pets and children be at home?
We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.
Can you repair something that’s been repaired before?
Most of the time. Let us know what was used before.
Is it messy?
Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we have finished.
Is there any odour?
There can be some smell while we work. It fades as everything cures.
Can a coloured bath be made white?
Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.
Do you charge for travel?
There’s no separate call-out charge. The fixed price covers the visit and the work.
What happens once I’ve sent pictures?
We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we’ll ask for another photo.
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
When we’d advise against a repair
A repair isn’t always the answer, and we would rather say so up front. Repairs won’t solve:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.
What we work on
- Coloured shower trays
- Whole bathroom suites
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured basins
Should I try a DIY kit first?
It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.
What affects the price in Birchgrove
Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:
- Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
- What kind of damage it is
- Where the damage is and how we get to it
- How hard the colour is to match
Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. It depends on the damage, the material and access, and combining items on one visit brings it down.
Quotes from your photos
Phone photos are fine. Ensure they show:
- A close-up of the damage, in focus
- Any details about the material
- Any earlier repairs or coatings
- A photo taken from further back
Pricing is simple: snap the damage close up and then the whole item, send them to us with your postcode, and we’ll reply with a fixed price. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation.

Repairing versus replacing in Birchgrove
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is typically a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

What we’re called out for in Birchgrove
Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is typically the colour, not the bath.
