Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Blackburn

A full suite is typically done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Whether it’s faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can typically put it right, on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins alike.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What a repair can’t fix

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before you book.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays

The process

On the day, we arrive at the time we have agreed, cover the area with dust sheets and masking, and set to work. Expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items. We tidy up before we leave and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area

Getting a price

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Advice

Work for landlords and builders

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We can work around your bookings.

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Blackburn as well as householders. A repair between tenants keeps the property empty for less time, and it normally costs far less than a refit.

Common problems we fix in Blackburn

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • What happens if they find more damage

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:

  • The type of damage
  • The material and finish
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Access to the area

Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Quotes from your pictures

A couple of clear pictures is all it takes. It helps if you send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • Any details about the material
  • One sharp close-up of the damage

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos using our quote form or ring us. We’ll tell you honestly if a repair is the right fix.

Repairing versus replacing in Blackburn

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Blackburn. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

What you get with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Repair technicians who travel to you, UK-wide
  • Honest advice, even when it means no job
  • Free fixed quotes from pictures

DIY repairs versus a professional job

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.
