Coloured bath resurfacing in Blackness without replacing anything
A full suite is generally done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on coloured shower trays, whole bathroom suites and avocado, pampas and pink baths, and the jobs we see most are a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite.
Big or small, you get the same one-year guarantee. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Blackness questions
What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?
Prices start from £350. We give a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up and a photo of the whole item and your postcode.
Do you come to Blackness?
Yes. We cover the entire UK and come to Blackness and the rest of West Lothian. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.
It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?
In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one.
Will the price change on the day?
We stop, show you and agree any change before carrying on. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.
Can tenants book a repair?
Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are often glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.
What happens after I send pictures?
You’ll get a fixed quote back, typically with dates to choose from. You’re under no obligation.
Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?
Usually, when the rest is in good condition. Repairing avoids the cost and disruption of replacing. We’ll tell you honestly if replacement makes more sense.
Which areas do you work in?
Everywhere in the UK, Blackness included. There is no extra charge for travel.
Can I fix it myself?
For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is typically the cheaper route.

Repair or replace in Blackness?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. A repair generally costs much less than people expect, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Photos let us give you the exact figure.

When a repair isn’t the answer
Honesty matters more than a booking, so here’s what a repair can’t fix:
- The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
- Items cracked right through
- Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)
Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.
Surfaces we repair
- Avocado, pampas and pink baths
- Coloured shower trays
- Coloured basins
- Whole bathroom suites
The process
The work is clean and fairly quiet, so you can stay at home while we’re there. We protect the area first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. At the end we talk you through the curing time and the aftercare.
- First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
- Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
- We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.
Getting ready for the visit
- Let us know about parking or access
- Ensure the room can be ventilated
- Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
Get a quote
A quote takes minutes to ask for: photograph the damage, then the whole suite, include your postcode and send them over. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.
Advice
How we price coloured bath resurfacing
Resurfacing from £350. We give every job a fixed price from pictures. This is what makes a difference:
- What the surface is made of
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- How hard the colour is to match
- How easy the damage is to reach
Every job is a little different, so each one is priced on its own. What’s damaged, how badly and how easy it is to reach all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.
Quotes from your photos
Almost every job we do is priced from pictures. This is what we need:
- Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- The material, if you know it
- Details of any past repairs
You don’t need a survey visit. Nearly every job can be priced from pictures: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we’ll come back to you with a fixed figure.
