Common questions in Brockley Green

Can you quote from pictures?

In nearly every case. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Are you accredited?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

How do I get a price for coloured bath resurfacing in Brockley Green?

Prices start from £350. We give a fixed quote based on pictures of the damage. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo with your CO10 postcode.

Is there any odour?

It depends on the job, but often a little. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK, and that includes Brockley Green. Prices don’t change with location.

What do you need from me?

Use the quote form or ring 0345 017 0787, and we’ll do the rest.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

We’re happy to deal with the tenant, landlord or agent. Just ensure the landlord agrees.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Brockley Green, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

You get a one-year guarantee, the same in Brockley Green as everywhere else we work. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

When a repair is not the answer

Some jobs are not right for a repair, for example:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we will tell you honestly before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Brockley Green

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What to look for in a quote

  • How to look after the finish
  • How the colour is matched
  • How soon you can use it again
  • What preparation is included

Our hiring checklist

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There are no hourly rates or hidden extras. The price depends on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Unusual colours or finishes

A repair is priced on what needs doing, not where you live. You’ll see the full price before you book, with no extras added later.

Getting a price from photos

Good pictures mean an accurate price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Something in shot to show the size
  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare

Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us photos through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the whole suite, we can price the job the same day in most cases.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

The difference between a kit and a professional repair is mostly in the preparation and colour. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, then guarantee it for a year.

Kits are cheap and easy to find, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Doing it properly first is generally the cheaper route.

Work for landlords and builders

Hospitality businesses need rooms back in use quickly, so most of our work is done in a single visit. We can work around your bookings.

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we can arrange access with the tenant directly if that helps.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, particularly next to the cost of replacement. Send photos and we’ll give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • Generally one visit, start to finish
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited
  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish

See our prices page and bath cost comparison.

What we do, step by step

You don’t need to empty the room beforehand. Everything we use comes in the van with us, lay protective sheets and start once you are happy with the plan. It generally takes a day or two, depending on how many items, and you can get on with other things while we’re there.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the next day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift

Ask for a price

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
