Coloured bath resurfacing near Bryn Hafod

About our coloured bath resurfacing in Bryn Hafod

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there is no plumbing or tiling. A full suite is generally done in one to two days. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, in whole bathroom suites, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.

All our work is covered by a one-year guarantee. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

What we’re called out for in Bryn Hafod

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Look out for any of the following:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

What your quote should include

  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • How your room will be protected
  • What aftercare is recommended
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers

Our hiring checklist

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you’ll get a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • Everything repaired in place
  • Work done at your home or business
  • One visit for most repairs
  • No extra charge for your area

See our prices page and guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. What matters most is:

  • The colour and finish to match
  • The size and number of damaged areas
  • The material and finish
  • How many items we do on one visit

Instead of hourly rates, we price the whole job up front. Damage, material and access decide it.

Quotes from your photos

The better the pictures, the more accurate the price. Here’s what helps:

  • A picture taken from further back
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Where you are, by postcode

We price from photos so you do not have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and you will get a fixed figure back.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully, make sure the area is clean and completely dry, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

A kit can be fine for a tiny mark out of sight. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

When a repair isn’t the answer

Before you book, it’s worth knowing the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

How the visit works

There’s not much you need to do on the day. Let us in and show us the room, and we’ll get on with it. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
