Coloured bath resurfacing for Carrog homes

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Carrog

Most suites take one or two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. We’re often asked to fix a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom, on coloured basins, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured shower trays.

Whatever the size of the job, it’s backed by a one-year guarantee. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. There is no charge for travel to Carrog. The price comes down to:

  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How many areas need work
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • The material

The price depends on the type and amount of damage, the material and how many jobs we combine into one visit. We give a fixed price from your pictures, so you know the cost before booking.

Send photos for a quote

The better the photos, the more accurate the price. Here’s what we find most useful:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Where you are, by postcode

For a price in Carrog, pictures are the quickest way: one close up, one from further back, plus your postcode. You will get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

When a repair isn’t the answer

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we’ll give you a straight answer before you book.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins
  • Whole bathroom suites

Should I try a DIY kit first?

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but the repairs we redo most often are DIY ones that have discoloured or lifted. Doing it properly first is normally the cheaper route.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, it’s worth having it done properly.

For landlords and businesses

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. A repair between tenancies is a cheaper way to keep the property in good order.

Questions from Carrog

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.

What does coloured bath resurfacing cost?

Resurfacing from £350. We give a fixed quote from your pictures. Send a close-up of the damage and a wider photo and your postcode.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied. It fades as everything cures.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Will it make a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we have finished.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.

Is it worth repairing rather than replacing?

In most cases, yes. A repair skips the removal, fitting and redecorating. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

What about the toilet?

Talk to us first. The inside of a bowl is always wet and scrubbed, so we will advise honestly before quoting.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. Compared with replacing, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because there’s no removal, plumbing or making good. The quote lists exactly what you are paying for.

What we do, step by step

Here’s how a visit normally runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Plan for one to two days for a full suite. Before leaving, we tell you how long to leave it and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

Preparing for the visit

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Ensure the room can be ventilated
