Coloured suite to white in Chittening, Bristol

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Chittening
We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Our technicians work on coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins, and common reasons people contact us are selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.
The work is covered for a year after we finish. Just call us if there’s a problem and we’ll come back. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Prices and what affects them
Prices start from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Chittening. The price comes down to:
- Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
- Any earlier repairs that need removing first
- How easy the damage is to reach
- The size and number of damaged areas
Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Chittening. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.
How to get a fixed price
When you take your photos, these tips help us give you a firm price:
- A picture taken from further back
- The material, if you know it
- A clear, close picture of the problem area
- A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
Ring 0345 017 0787, or send us pictures through the quote form. With a clear picture of the damage and one of the entire suite, we can give you a fixed quote without visiting.

Common questions in Chittening
Is repairing better than replacing?
Generally, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. If it isn’t worth repairing, we will tell you.
What about the toilet?
Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we will advise honestly before quoting.
What information do you need?
Some pictures, your postcode and how to reach you. On the day, access to the room.
Do you charge for travel?
We do not add a call-out fee. The fixed quote covers the visit and the work.
Will you leave a mess?
We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and we clean up when we’ve finished.
Can you repair several things at once?
Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send pictures of everything you’d like done.
Can you quote from pictures?
In nearly every case. If photos don’t show enough, we’ll ask for another angle.
Can pets and children be at home?
Just keep them out of the work area. We’ll tell you when the room can be used again.
Why repair rather than replace?
Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. We don’t add extras on the day. The price we quote from your photos is the price you pay, and if the damage turns out to be different, we discuss it before starting.

DIY kit or professional repair?
It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.
DIY kits are sold for most surfaces, and they can tidy up a tiny mark. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler frequently lifts.
How it works
On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Let us in and show us the room, and we will take it from there. Most visits take one to two days for a full suite, including clearing up.
- We protect the room and ventilate it.
- We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
- The surface is prepared and primed.
- We spray the new white (or other colour) finish.
- Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.
Getting ready for the visit
- Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
- Open a window if you can
- Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
