Trusted coloured bath resurfacing in Clapton

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Clapton

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. We are frequently asked to fix a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, in coloured shower trays, avocado, pampas and pink baths and coloured basins.

The work is guaranteed for twelve months. If something is not right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Common problems we fix in Clapton

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s typically the colour that dates them, not the condition.

It’s worth getting a quote if you see:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

10 questions to ask before booking

Why repair rather than replace?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. Our prices are the same across the UK, with no extra for Clapton. What changes the price is the job itself: the material, the amount of damage and how many items.

Why book with us

  • Everything repaired in place
  • One-year guarantee on every repair
  • Straight answers about what a repair can do
  • Most jobs done in one visit

See our prices page or guide to resurfacing and replacement costs.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Resurfacing from £350. You’ll know the full cost before you book. We look at:

  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Access to the area
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • What kind of damage it is

It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

Send photos for a quote

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • Whether it’s been repaired or coated before
  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size

The quickest way to a price is to send a couple of pictures using our quote form or call us. We’ll tell you honestly whether it can be repaired.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Clapton

We are used to working with agents and managing companies. Just send photos, the address and how to get access and we will arrange it.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.

Questions from Clapton

Do I have to be there?

Yes. We need access to the room while we work, at a time that suits you.

Will there be a smell?

There can be some smell while we work, so we ventilate the room. It clears as the materials cure.

Are there extra charges for Clapton?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed price includes everything.

Do you cover Clapton?

Yes, we do. Repair technicians travel to Clapton from across the region, with no extra charge for travel.

How quickly can you book me in?

Your quote comes with available dates. Tell us if you need it done quickly.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

What do you need from me?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the entire suite and your postcode. After that, we just agree a date.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If there is a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

When a repair is not the answer

Some problems need a builder, plumber or fitter rather than us:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly.

Materials we work on in Clapton

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

What happens on the day

We begin by going over the job with you, so there are no surprises. After that, protection goes down around the work area and the work begins. You can expect it to take a day or two, depending on how many items, and we’ll tell you if anything changes.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Mention any earlier repairs or resurfacing
  • Tell us if there are stairs or a lift
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

Ask for a price

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Advice

Should I try a DIY kit first?

A DIY attempt isn’t a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

For a hairline mark somewhere you’ll never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.
