Need coloured bath resurfacing in Cleadon?

Coloured bath resurfacing in Cleadon without replacing anything

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. A full suite is usually done in one to two days. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and faded or patchy colour, in coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every job is backed for twelve months in Cleadon and everywhere else. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

When a repair isn’t the answer

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before booking.

Materials we repair

  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays

Repairing versus replacing in Cleadon

Replacing a coloured suite involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. What it costs depends on how much damage there is and what kind, the material and how many items we do on one visit. We give a fixed quote from your photos, so there are no surprises on the day.

Why us?

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
  • CHAS and Constructionline accredited

Cleadon questions

Is there a call-out fee?

Travel is included in the price, with the same prices everywhere we work.

What happens after I send pictures?

We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

How do I book?

Photos of the damage, a picture of the whole suite and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

In most cases. We remove the old repair before doing a new one, so let us know about it.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, though it’s best to check with your landlord first. Landlords are frequently glad to have it sorted before the end of a tenancy.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send photos with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

What happens if you find more damage?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. You won’t be charged for anything you haven’t agreed.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Cleadon?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Signs it’s time to call us include:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite

Before you book anyone

  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • When it can be used again
  • How your room will be protected
  • A fixed quote, and whether VAT is included

Choosing a repair company

Prices and what affects them

Resurfacing from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Doing more than one item at once
  • What kind of damage it is

Instead of hourly rates, we fix the price before we start. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

How to get a fixed quote

Most quotes are done from photos alone. To help us price it:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A picture taken from further back

No survey visit is needed: we price from photos. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through, and we will come back with a fixed figure.

Should I try a DIY kit first?

You can buy a DIY kit for most repairs, and they can make a small mark look better. Where they fall down is colour and preparation: kits come in a few standard shades, and without proper cleaning and keying the filler often lifts.

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

How it works

It’s a tidy, low-fuss visit. We confirm the time with you beforehand, protect the area, then carry out the work, which generally takes one to two days for a full suite. If anything looks different from your pictures, we’ll talk to you before going ahead.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We key the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Have somewhere for us to park nearby if possible
  • Let us know which floor the room is on

For landlords and businesses

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

Housing associations and facilities teams use us for planned and reactive repairs in Sunderland and across the UK. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.
