Landlords, agents and businesses in Cobham

We work for landlords, letting agents and housing providers in Cobham as well as householders. Repairing between tenancies keeps void periods short, and it typically costs far less than a refit.

Builders use us to fix snagging damage before handover. Several plots can be done in one visit.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Cobham

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Common call-outs are for a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on coloured basins, whole bathroom suites and coloured shower trays.

Every job is backed for twelve months. If something goes wrong with the work, we come back. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves new sanitaryware, a plumber and a tiler. Refinishing it in white changes the colour with everything left in place. Our coloured bath resurfacing starts from £350. Most people are surprised how affordable a repair is, especially compared with replacing and refitting. Send pictures and we’ll give you the exact figure.

What you get with us

  • Rooms protected and left tidy
  • No extra charge for your area
  • One visit for most repairs
  • Nothing taken out or refitted

Read our pricing or bath cost comparison.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We remove the old filler and start again, so it will not stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

For a hairline mark somewhere you will never see, a kit may be enough. For anything you look at every day, anything that has rusted, cracked or holed, or anything on a coloured surface, a professional repair is worth it.

What a repair cannot fix

Not everything can be repaired, and we will tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we’ll give you a straight answer.

Materials we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. We price every job individually, from your photos. The main factors are:

  • Whether it’s a chip, crack, burn or wear
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • How much damage there is

Every job is a little different, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

How to get a fixed price

When you take your pictures, a few simple things make all the difference:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • A coin beside the damage so we can judge size
  • Good light, ideally daylight, without flash glare
  • A picture taken from further back

We price from pictures so you don’t have to wait in for a survey. Send them through the quote form, or call 0345 017 0787 if you’d rather talk it through.

Signs you need coloured bath resurfacing in Cobham

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and many are still sound. It’s generally the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Send us a picture if you notice any of these:

  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Faded or patchy colour

What to look for in a quote

  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • Whether the price is fixed and includes VAT
  • What preparation is included
  • What the guarantee covers, and for how long

10 questions to ask before booking

Cobham: your questions answered

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Yes, we frequently do. Removing the old work can add time, and that is in the quote.

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

What areas do you cover?

The entire UK, including all of Surrey. Just include your postcode and we’ll confirm dates.

What happens if you find more damage?

Your quote covers the damage in the pictures. Anything extra is discussed before we begin.

Do I have to be there?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Can you do the toilet too?

Talk to us first. A toilet bowl is constantly wet, so we’ll tell you what will last.

How it works

Here’s how a visit usually runs: we arrive at the agreed slot, sheet and mask the area around the job, carry out the work and clear up. Plan for one to two days for a full suite from start to finish. Before leaving, we tell you when it can be used and what to avoid for the first few days.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. We leave everything to cure, usually until the following day.

Before we arrive

  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Let us know which floor the room is on
