Coloured bath resurfacing near Coedffranc

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Coedffranc

A full suite is usually done in one to two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. We work on avocado, pampas and pink baths, coloured shower trays and coloured basins, and people most often call us about selling or letting a home with an old suite and a dated coloured suite you’d like in white.

The work is covered for a year after we finish. If anything isn’t right, ring us and we’ll sort it. Look after the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

What we do, step by step

The work is clean and fairly quiet. Protection goes down first, then the work takes a day or two, depending on how many items. At the end we talk you through how soon it can be used and how to look after it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the following day, the suite is ready.

How to prepare

  • Plan for the room to be out of bounds to pets and children
  • Have a window or extractor fan available
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

How to get a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. What comes back is a fixed price, not a guess.

Repairing versus replacing in Coedffranc

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Photos let us give you a fixed figure.

Why us?

  • One visit for most repairs
  • Dust sheets down, tidy finish
  • No extra charge for your area
  • CHAS, Constructionline and SafeContractor accredited

Common problems we fix in Coedffranc

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour

Questions to ask before you book

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • When it can be used again
  • Who turns up on the day
  • How the colour is matched

Our hiring checklist

Work for landlords and builders

Rented homes see more wear and tear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

If you manage property in Coedffranc, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we’ll price them together.

DIY repairs versus a professional job

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and then the old filler has to be removed first.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We prepare the area properly, mix the colour on site and polish the finish to match, and the work is guaranteed.

Your questions about coloured bath resurfacing in Coedffranc

Can you price it without visiting?

Yes, almost always. A close-up and a wider photo are enough to give a fixed quote.

How soon can you come?

It depends on the time of year and where you are. Send pictures with your postcode and we’ll reply with the earliest dates.

Are there extra charges for Coedffranc?

We don’t add a call-out fee. Your fixed quote includes everything.

Do I have to be there?

We need someone to let us in. You do not need to watch us work.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes. Ask your landlord first, and we can send them the quote if that helps.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. We resurface it in white with it left in place.

Is it safe with children and pets around?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work. The rest of the house is unaffected.

It’s been repaired before. Can you still fix it?

Usually, yes. The old repair comes out first, so mention it when you send pictures.

Honest limits

It helps to know what we can’t do too:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us pictures and we’ll tell you honestly before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Coloured basins

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. A fixed quote means you know the cost before booking. We look at:

  • The material
  • Whether old repairs or coatings need taking off
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • Doing more than one item at once

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Send photos for a quote

Photographing the damage takes a minute, and it saves a visit. Please include:

  • Where you are, by postcode
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • Any earlier repairs or coatings

There is no need for us to visit first. Photos are enough for us to price nearly every job: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will come back to you with a fixed figure.
