What we do, step by step

On the day itself, there’s little for you to do. Show us the job, point us to the room, and we’ll get on with it. The job generally runs to a day or two, depending on how many items.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. Each item is cleaned, degreased and any chips repaired.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Before we arrive

  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Point us to the nearest place to park
  • Tell us about parking, stairs or access

Getting a price

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them to us. You will get a fixed price, not an estimate.

Coloured bath resurfacing in Cooper's Green, done in place

A full suite is normally done in one to two days. Everything is resurfaced where it stands, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and avocado, pampas and pink baths.

Every job is backed for twelve months in Cooper's Green and everywhere else. We return to put right any problem with the work. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that’s fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

We understand the appeal of fixing it yourself. The risk is that a kit repair hides the damage for a while, then fails, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. There’s no area surcharge for Cooper's Green. The price reflects:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Access to the area

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Send pictures for a quote

We price nearly every job from pictures. This is what we need:

  • Something in shot to show the size
  • A clear, close picture of the problem area
  • The material, if you know it
  • Natural light rather than flash

If you’re in Cooper's Green and want a price, the easiest route is pictures: a close-up, a wider shot and your postcode. You’ll get a fixed quote with dates to choose from.

Should you replace it?

Replacing a coloured suite involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour without taking anything out. Prices start from £350. It helps to know what pushes a price up or down: access, material, the extent of the damage and whether we can do several items together. Send photos and you will get a fixed figure.

Honest limits

To be straight with you, there are a few things a repair won’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think before you book.

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom

FAQs for Cooper's Green

Can you price it without visiting?

Yes, almost always. Clear pictures let us give you a fixed quote without visiting.

What areas do you cover?

All of East Sussex, and the rest of the UK. There is no extra charge for travel.

Can you repair several things at once?

Yes. Doing several items on one visit usually costs less than separate visits. Include photos of each item.

What happens next?

We come back with a fixed price. You’re under no obligation.

Will you leave a mess?

We protect the room with dust sheets and masking first, and tidy up before we leave.

Is there a guarantee?

Yes, for a year. If there’s a problem with the work in that time, we come back and put it right.

I rent my home. Can I book you?

Yes, but check with your landlord or agent first. Many landlords are happy for a repair to be arranged before the end of a tenancy.

Will there be a smell?

A little, depending on the job. Open windows and an extractor fan help, and it soon fades.

For landlords and businesses

Letting agents frequently send us pictures straight from the inventory. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

For developers and builders, we fix damage before handover. We can visit several plots in one trip to keep costs down.
