Coloured bath resurfacing in Cossington

Coloured bath resurfacing at your home in Cossington

Everything is resurfaced where it stands, so there’s no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. Common call-outs are for a suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom and selling or letting a home with an old suite, on avocado, pampas and pink baths, whole bathroom suites and coloured basins.

You’re covered for a year from the day of the repair. Just call us if there is a problem and we will sort it. Care for the new finish like a re-enamelled bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

How the visit works

From the moment we arrive, we keep the work contained to the one room. Surfaces nearby are masked off, the job takes one to two days for a full suite, depending on what we find, and we finish by cleaning up and talking you through the result.

  1. We protect the room and ventilate it.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Once cured, normally by the day after, the suite is ready.

Getting ready for the visit

  • Let us know if it has been repaired before
  • Move bottles, mats and clutter away from the area
  • Mention if the room is upstairs or in a flat

Advice

When we’d advise against a repair

A repair is not always the answer, and we will tell you before we start. We can’t fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send pictures and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

Surfaces we repair

  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Coloured basins
  • Coloured shower trays
  • Whole bathroom suites

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and do not use it until it has fully cured. If it fails, we can still put it right.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it will not stop us repairing it. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send pictures.

Prices and what affects them

Prices start from £350. Every quote is fixed and free. What we take into account:

  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • How many items we do on one visit
  • What the surface is made of
  • Any earlier repairs that need removing first

Rather than charging by the hour, we price the entire job up front. Damage, material and access decide it, and doing several items at once reduces it.

How to get a fixed quote

You can normally get a fixed price without us visiting. To make it quick:

  • One sharp close-up of the damage
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • A photo taken from further back
  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit

Send us photos of the damage and one of the whole item, with your TA7 postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

Common questions in Cossington

Can you do more than one item on the same visit?

Yes. Combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down. Send photos of everything you’d like done.

Can you quote from pictures?

Nearly always. We only ask to see it in person if the pictures cannot show what we need.

Can you redo someone else’s repair?

Most of the time. Tell us what was done before and we will plan for it.

Will it make a mess?

Dust sheets and masking go down before we start, and we clean up when we’ve finished.

Will the price change on the day?

We will show you and explain before doing anything extra. Nothing extra is done without your say-so.

What happens next?

We look at the photos and reply with a fixed price and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Do you cover Cossington?

Yes. We work across the UK and travel to Cossington and the rest of Somerset. Send photos and we will quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

Does someone need to be in?

Yes. The technician needs access to the room for the visit, at a time that suits you.

Landlords, agents and businesses in Cossington

Rental properties take more wear, and replacing things at every changeover adds up. Repairing between tenants keeps the property presentable for less.

For anyone letting property in or around Cossington, we can repair and quote for several addresses together. Just send pictures for each address and we will come back with a combined price.

Should you replace it?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing changes the colour with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all make a difference, and combining jobs on one visit brings the cost down.

Common problems we fix in Cossington

Coloured suites were fitted in huge numbers in the 1970s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is usually the colour, not the bath.

The most common problems we are called about are:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • A suite that doesn’t match a new bathroom

What to look for in a quote

  • Is the price fixed, and does it include VAT?
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • The length of the guarantee and what it covers
  • What protection goes down before work starts
