Why repair rather than replace?

Replacing a coloured suite means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. A few things move the price: the amount of damage, the material, access to the area, and how many jobs we do in one trip. Send pictures and you will get a fixed figure.

What you get with us

  • We come to you, anywhere in the UK
  • Usually one visit, start to finish
  • Fixed prices from your pictures
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface

See our full price list or resurfacing vs replacement cost guide.

What coloured bath resurfacing costs

Prices start from £350. There is no charge for travel to Creag Ghoraidh. The price depends on:

  • How many areas need work
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • Where the damage is and how we get to it
  • How many items we do on one visit

Set against the cost of replacement, a repair is usually a fraction of the price, because nothing has to be taken out, refitted or made good. Your fixed quote shows exactly what’s included.

Send pictures for a quote

Phone photos are fine. Make sure they show:

  • A close-up of the damage, in focus
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale
  • Natural light rather than flash
  • Any details about the material

The quickest way to a price is to send two or three photos through our quote form or call us. We’ll say immediately whether it can be repaired.

What a repair can’t fix

We won’t take on work that won’t last, so these are the limits:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

If in doubt, send pictures and we will say what we think.

Surfaces we repair

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

How the visit works

Here’s how a visit generally runs: we arrive on time, protect everything around the work area, carry out the work and tidy away. Allow a day or two, depending on how many items. Before we go, we’ll explain how long to leave it and how to care for it.

  1. The room is protected and ventilated.
  2. Next we degrease everything and fix chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, generally ready the day after.

Preparing for the visit

  • Clear the area around the damage
  • Let the surface dry out before the visit
  • Let us know if it has been repaired before

How to get a price

DIY kit or professional repair?

If you do try a kit, read the instructions carefully and work on a clean, dry surface, and give it the full curing time. If it does not work out, we can still repair it properly.

A DIY attempt is not a disaster. We remove the old filler and start again, so it doesn’t stop a professional repair. It does add a little time, so tell us about it when you send photos.

What happens after I send photos?

We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If we need another angle, we’ll ask.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Creag Ghoraidh?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. It’s usually the colour that dates them, not the condition.

Keep an eye out for any of the following:

  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • Faded or patchy colour

Comparing quotes

  • Who will actually do the work
  • Whether there are any call-out or travel charges
  • Whether the colour is mixed to match
  • A fixed price, and whether VAT is included
