Coloured bath resurfacing near Darite

Work for landlords and builders

We carry out planned and one-off repairs for housing associations and facilities teams. Repairing in place avoids the disruption of a replacement, which matters when someone is living in the home.

Hotels, guest houses and holiday lets need rooms back in use quickly, so we keep visits short and tidy. We will fit around changeovers where we can.

How we handle coloured bath resurfacing in Darite

Most suites take one or two days. We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, with no new plumbing or tiling. Typical jobs include a dated coloured suite you’d like in white and faded or patchy colour, on coloured shower trays, coloured basins and whole bathroom suites.

We guarantee the work for a year. If something isn’t right in that time, we come back and put it right. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: gentle cleaners, no suction mats.

The process

On the day, the technician arrives at the agreed time, protects the room with dust sheets and masking and gets started. The job generally takes a day or two, depending on how many items. We clean up when we are done and tell you when it’s ready to use.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. The surface is prepared and primed.
  4. The new white, or other colour, finish is sprayed on.
  5. Each item is left to cure, usually ready the following day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Avoid using the area for a few hours before we arrive
  • Mention any parking restrictions or tricky access

What we cannot put right

We won’t take on work that will not last, so here’s what a repair can’t put right:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Send us photos and we’ll tell you honestly.

What we work on

  • Coloured shower trays
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured basins

Common questions in Darite

Can pets and children be at home?

Please keep children and pets out of the room during the visit and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

When can you do it?

Your quote comes with available dates. If it’s urgent, say so and we will do what we can.

What happens after I send photos?

We look at the pictures and reply with a fixed quote and some dates. If anything’s unclear, we will ask for another photo.

Will the price change on the day?

If we find something the photos didn’t show, we explain it first. You decide whether to go ahead.

How much does coloured bath resurfacing cost in Darite?

Resurfacing from £350. Because every job differs, we price from pictures. You know the full cost before anything is booked.

Is my repair covered?

All our work carries our one-year guarantee. Ask us what it covers when you get your quote.

Do you come to Darite?

Yes. We cover the whole UK and travel to Darite. Send pictures and we’ll quote, or call 0345 017 0787.

How do I book?

A close-up, a wider photo and your postcode. Then we’ll agree a date.

DIY kit or professional repair?

It’s natural to want to try a repair yourself. The trouble is that kit repairs often look fine at first and then fail, and the old filler has to come out before a proper repair.

What a professional repair adds is preparation, colour matching and finishing. We clean and key the area properly, mix the colour to your surface and finish it to the same sheen, then guarantee it for a year.

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one involves a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Refinishing it in white turns it white without taking anything out. Resurfacing from £350, with every job priced individually. The price reflects the work involved, not your postcode. The full price is agreed before booking, with nothing added on the day.

Do you need coloured bath resurfacing in Darite?

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and many are still sound. The problem is generally the colour, not the bath.

Most people get in touch after spotting something like this:

  • Faded or patchy colour
  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Questions to ask before booking

  • How long the guarantee is and what it covers
  • How to look after the finish
  • Whether cleaning and preparation are in the price
  • How the colour is matched

Choosing a repair company

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. We price every job individually, from your pictures. What matters most is:

  • Access to the area
  • How hard the colour is to match
  • Previous DIY repairs that have to come out
  • How many areas need work

No two jobs are quite the same, so each one is priced on its own. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Quotes from your pictures

We price nearly every job from photos. This is what we need:

  • What it’s made of, if you know
  • Details of any past repairs
  • Your postcode, so we can check dates
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

Getting a quote takes a couple of minutes: photograph the damage, then the entire suite, add your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.
