Coloured bath resurfacing for Drayton homes

Coloured bath resurfacing in Drayton, done in place

We resurface the bath, basin and tray in place, so there is no plumbing or tiling. Most suites take one or two days. If you are dealing with faded or patchy colour and selling or letting a home with an old suite, we can help, whatever the material.

You’re covered after we leave: our one-year guarantee applies to every job, and we explain what it covers before booking. Treat it like any resurfaced bath: mild cleaners and no suction mats.

Can I fix it myself?

If you’ve already tried a DIY fix, that is fine. We take the old repair out and do it properly, so it won’t stop us repairing it. Just mention it when you send photos, as it can add time.

It’s tempting to reach for a kit, but many of the jobs we do start with putting right a DIY repair. Getting it right first time is generally cheaper.

When to call us in Drayton

Avocado, pampas and pink suites were everywhere in the 70s and 80s, and plenty are still in good condition. The problem is normally the colour, not the bath.

You may need us if you’ve spotted:

  • Selling or letting a home with an old suite
  • Faded or patchy colour
  • A suite that does not match a new bathroom
  • A dated coloured suite you’d like in white

Drayton questions

Are you a vetted contractor?

We hold CHAS, Constructionline, SafeContractor, SMAS Worksafe and Builder’s Profile accreditations.

Is repairing better than replacing?

In most cases, yes. Replacement brings removal, refitting and making good, which a repair avoids. We’ll be honest if it’s not worth it.

Are there extra charges for Drayton?

No. Our quotes include travel, with the same prices everywhere we work.

Will there be a smell?

Some materials have a smell while they’re applied, so we ventilate the room. It fades as everything cures.

Is it OK to have pets in the house?

We ask you to keep children and pets out of the room while we work and until it has cured. Everywhere else in the home is fine.

Which areas do you work in?

Across the UK, so Drayton is covered. Our prices are the same everywhere.

Will the price change on the day?

It’s rare, but if it happens we talk to you first. The price only changes if you agree.

Can you turn my avocado bath white?

Yes. It’s resurfaced in white where it stands.

How we price coloured bath resurfacing

Resurfacing from £350. There’s no charge for travel to Drayton. The price depends on:

  • What the surface is made of
  • Unusual colours or finishes
  • Whether we combine several jobs
  • Access to the area

No two jobs are quite the same, so we price each one individually. The size and type of damage, the material and access all play a part, and doing several things on one visit costs less than separate visits.

Quotes from your photos

Photographing the damage takes a minute. Try to send:

  • The postcode, so we can plan the visit
  • Any details about the material
  • Daylight if possible, and no flash reflection
  • A coin or ruler next to the damage for scale

A quote takes minutes to ask for: take one close-up and one wider shot of the suite, include your postcode and send them over. What comes back is a fixed quote, not a guess.

For landlords and businesses

We regularly price jobs from inventory or check-out pictures. You can have a price before you arrange access, and we liaise with tenants about access if you’d like us to.

We regularly work with letting and managing agents. Send the address, pictures and access details.

How the visit works

Visits start with a quick look at the job together, so there are no surprises. Then the area is sheeted and masked and we start. It normally takes one to two days for a full suite, and we will tell you if anything changes.

  1. First we protect the bathroom and set up ventilation.
  2. We clean, degrease and repair any chips.
  3. We prepare the surface and apply a bonding primer.
  4. We spray on the new finish in white or your chosen colour.
  5. Each item is left to cure, normally ready the next day.

Preparing for the visit

  • Tell us about any previous repairs or coatings
  • Keep pets and children out of the room while we work
  • Open a window if you can

Ask for a price

There is no need for us to visit first. Nearly every job can be priced from photos: we need a close-up, a wider picture and your postcode, and we will reply with a fixed price.

What we can’t put right

In fairness, some problems need a different fix:

  • The inside of a toilet bowl, unless we’ve agreed it will last
  • Items cracked right through
  • Fittings and taps (these are masked, not recoloured)

Not sure? Send photos and we will give you a straight answer before booking.

What we work on

  • Coloured basins
  • Avocado, pampas and pink baths
  • Whole bathroom suites
  • Coloured shower trays

Repair or replace: which is better?

Swapping a coloured suite for a white one means a plumber, a tiler and new taps. Resurfacing turns it white with everything left in place. Prices start from £350. We charge the same wherever you are, with no extra for Drayton. The job itself decides the price: how much damage, what it’s made of and how many items.

Why Drayton customers choose us

  • Nothing taken out or refitted
  • Every repair guaranteed for a year
  • No extra charge for your area
  • Colours mixed by hand to suit your surface
